Dusty's Westgate Floral

This is my second time this year writing a strong review for Dusty's Floral (under the name Mae in Yelp, delayed review for a 2013 wedding). Last month my youngest daughter got married in Seattle. She and her fiancé are both 3rd year law students in Chicago but both grew up and have family in Seattle. Like most young people today, they took pride in planning their wedding all by themselves without a wedding planner. But between studies, the distance and and having no knowledge of the floral business (florists need lead time as most growers are out of state) they waited until the week before their wedding to finally decide on their wedding colors. They also realized that they didn't have time to work on the flowers. Sensing this, I offered to take over the wedding flowers. The beautiful (inexpensive) spring centerpieces came from Pike Place Market.



For the bridal party flowers I wanted the arrangements to be more than just tulips and daffodils, to look professionally put together (beyond my skill set) and the flowers to be able to withstand 2-3 hours manhandling because of pre wedding, on location photographs. I had such a great experience working with Denise for my other daughter's wedding, I didn't think of going anywhere else. I contacted her a week and a half before the wedding hoping that the shop had time to make my daughter's flowers at such late notice. BRIDES! DO NOT WAIT TIL THE LAST MINUTE TO CONTACT A FLORIST!!!! Denise graciously said to come in no later than Monday afternoon and she would take care of us. She did warn me that she couldn't guarantee that she could get the peach colored flowers from her growers at such late notice. Orders go in on Tuesday for Thursday or Friday delivery, but she assured me that the bridal flowers would be beautiful. I brought in photos of color combinations my daughter had sent me, we worked out a budget and I left knowing that everything was in good hands. I've also found that Denise's prices are a bit lower than other Seattle area florists. When I picked up the flowers on Friday, they were absolutely beautiful - full of peaches and cream - even peach dahlias! My daughter was absolutely delighted and I know the flowers will look wonderful in the wedding pictures when they come back from the photographer.



I would highly recommend Dusty's for stunning traditional, fresh floral arrangements at a fair price. Thanks, Denise!

This shop is a family owned and greatly ran local business. They are very passionate and caring about what they do and make floral creations that are stupendous!! When I get married, I am going here for sure! They have my business for life!

Dusty's Westgate Floral are exceptional and the custom arrangements are truly unique.

I phoned from California to talk directly with the florist because I wanted specific flowers used in an arrangement for a friend in Mountlake Terrace. The woman I spoke with was friendly and professional, and went out of her way to contact her wholesalers and find the flowers I wanted. They were delivered when promised, and were fresh, and BEAUTIFUL! Very pleased, and would definitely use again

I received the most beautiful Christmas bouquet this morning from Dusty's Westgate Floral. My sister-in-law in Wisconsin had sent it to me not even knowing this florist as it was sent via Tel-A-Floral. I quickly sent her a picture of it so she would know just how beautiful it was. You can always write a note thanking someone about how great the gift was, hoping it was as good as what was said. But seeing a picture truly lets someone SEE how it looks and in the future they can trust Dusty's Westgate Floral to send the very best. This bouquet is beautiful beyond words. I will be visiting Dusty's very soon to see their shop. I think I will be changing my florist.

I have been a customer of Dustys for years. I feel compelled to write a review for them because i am always so impressed every time i visit their store. No matter what i am looking for or what they suggest for me, i am so pleased.

I never go anywhere else for my flower needs. They have been here in Edmonds for so many years and the mother and daughter owners are the BEST! When ever if stop in we always have such a good chat. If you want fresh, (and i mean fresh) flowers and great service, you need to check out this flower shop....they will go the extra to make sure you get the best. Their dog is a great greeter too!!!!
