We called A-1 service as our heating ignitor went out in the late afternoon. This we know as we had placed a call to our son in law who is in the business. The serviceman from A 1 came within a couple of hours and replaced ours with a used on as he broke the new one he had while placing it. He returned the next afternoon and replaced it with a new one. Total time was ten minutes. The service was good and timely. The cost was outrageous. I can understand the 79.00 service call to show up, but to mark up parts to an ungodly price is robbery. My son in law is a HVAC man in Cedar City, and buys his parts here in St George. The most expensive ignitor is 75.00, the least $3.00, which he as well as most contractors then mark up, which is understandable. Well A-1 marked theirs up to 136.99, this is a mark up of 145%, if they bought the most expensive one, whereas service work is usually not marked up this much.

Beware of what you are paying for and ask questions before they come, there are a lot of people looking for work that don't do this.
