Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar

Slow spotty service. Drinks took 30 minutes when restaurant was not full. Biscuits came out cold and crumbly. One in our party sent back her cold omelette. Overall poor experience especially for the price. I won't return.

Wow!!! The food is amazing here. The service was attentive and our server gave great recommendations. Big shout out to the general manager - John - who ensured everything was going well.

My favorites were the COCKTAILS - everything was yummy - from their variation of the Moscow mule to their.....well just ask for the cocktail that is served in a pineapple.

One of my favorite dishes were the heirloom tomato salad with the pesto....yummy!

I did not want to leave and I left satisfied and FULL.

I will definitely be back.

Tupelo Honey Cafe is a great place to get some great southern cuisine. The fried chicken and biscuits are everything! Other favorites are the fried green tomatoes and okra! Yum! If your looking for cocktails, they have you covered with fantastic happy hours deals to go along with their great selection. The customer service is always on point as well.

Popped in for a beer and snack at the bar. Easily the best, most interesting beer program in the area! LOTS of local drafts (not just 420 and Tropicalia). I think I counted 4 Wicked Weed tap handles! Yeah, okay, Tupelo is based out of Asheville, but that clearly shows an understanding of great brews.

Food was great too--loved the wings and fried green tomatoes. Bartenders were very knowledgeable. We can't wait to come back for brunch!

Not sure what some of the negative comments on here about--this place is AWESOME!!! We were A.) Seated quickly B.) It wasn't loud C.) Service was top notch (almost over-the-top pleasant D.) Food came out quick and it was hot, fresh, and freaking delicious. Maybe some people are too hard on new restaurants or quick to create a Yelp account to post their haterness, but I don't get it.
We did the chicken tower Sunday night, and, yeah I agree with the manager (?) in the Hawaiian shirt--it WAS some of the best fried chicken we've ever had. The skin was slightly sweet, which we found out later was HONEY DUST--I don't even know what that is (so take that wannabee Yelp-foodies!) The collards were amazing and they don't skimp on the pork in them. And potato crackins'. MMMMM! Basically a french frie/home frie hybrid topped with parm and parsley (I guess the foodies are looking for some truffle oil--pfft!)
All in all, a great experience not to be missed!

Just yes. Yes to the shrimp n grits, yes to the sweet potato pancake, yes to the craft cocktails and beer, yes to the great service, yes to the friendly staff, yes to manager John who came by and chatted with us. Anytime anyone wants to go, my answer will be YES! Take some biscuits home!

Wow. Just wow. Been to the original in Asheville, and they really bring the mountains to atlanta. Crazy awesome decor, friendly staff, and the Fried Chicken tower is stupendous! Everything we had was delicious, and we will be back again and again!

Great lunch menu with lots of variety! Chicken BLT is easily one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Great, extensive beer list too.

Now this is what I call Southern cooking! It's Mountain South to be exact. The menu is flawless! The worst of my experience was finding an entree and room for more food. I found most items to be somewhat affordable for its creativity, and there are no ridiculously high a la carte sides.

The waitress was attentive and recognized the menu. She was prompt with the greeting, delivering the complimentary biscuits (good but sort of dry) w/ compote & honey (love), and placing the order. The bar is full of unique drafts and craft beers; I was able to sample a few drinks (without judgment) before buying which was pleasing.

Fortunately, I didn't wait long to be seated and for my meal. I tasted a number of small plates and an entree, and it was all fresh, hot, and tasty. If you're Southern bred, you know scratch-made when you taste it. My only problem here is being stuck between grandma's Sunday dinner and the Tupelo's supper plates. Decisions, decisions.

Tupelo Honey Cafe never disappoints! Mind you, there are tons of people clamoring to get in the doors, so you might have a wait, but IT'S WORTH IT! The biscuits are incredible, the Shoo Mercy Pancake is stupendous, and don't miss out on the Fried Chicken on Wednesdays and Sundays! BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER! Service is super friendly, and the management is awesome! John and Heather are great! New favorite spot in Sandy Springs!

I was joyous when I found at that they had opened one near me in Sandy Springs. I went with my friend and the hostess told us that there was a 20min wait for a table, or that we could go eat near the bar section which was a first come first serve basis. My friend and I decided to skip the wait and just go to one of the tables at the bar section. Sadly this is where the disappointment starts. We waited 20 minutes at a table before we received any service at all. Then a gentleman from behind the bar told us that he would be with us shortly. So I'm guessing that no one wanted to serve us? I frustrated that I had to wait 20 minutes at the table and that pretty much set the tone for the rest of the dining experience. We placed our orders and received complimentary biscuits along with our food. The food was ok, but they had a burrata brushectta appetizer that I thought was quite delicious. All in all, I won't be back anytime soon because of the disservice and disappointment.

I got the chance to sample a few of their small plates and was very impressed. The burrata cheese served with pesto, roasted cherry tomatoes and micro greens was very impressive. Their biscuits were delicious alongside their in house made blueberry jam. If you're get a drink make it the Peach Bell...I promise it will be worth your while. Planning to make reservations for brunch really soon.

If you're not one to eat your veggies as often you should, I highly recommend coming to Tupelo Honey Cafe. Between the grilled okra and brussel sprouts, I was in veggie heaven. Also check out the fried green tomatoes and fried okra.

Meat eaters, you haven't been forgotten. The chicken, burgers, pork, meatloaf, and ribs will make you happy.

If you prefer seafood, there's a few dishes with shrimp, salmon, and trout.

And if you love carbs like I do, just wait until you try the free biscuits!! OMG! They've got a hint of salt, which pairs perfectly with their honey and fruit spread. I'd go back just for these babies.
