"I came to Wellness Associates of Katy due to high blood pressure and because I had gestational diabetes. I started their weight loss protocol on April 27, 2009. After 1 week of following their protocol, my blood pressure dropped to within the normal range without blood pressure medication. Also after the first week, I had so much energy! I hadn't felt that good in years! After a couple of months, they did a diabetes screening for me and I fell in the 2% range of becoming diabetic. In a little less than 5 months following their protocol, I lost 46 pounds and 12 inches off my waist. I went from a 16/18 (X Large) to a 4/6 (Small). I went on the maintenance in mid-September and have been able to maintain my target weight. The other benefit of going to Wellness Associates of Katy is the wonderful staff that works there. You are so much more than a patient, you feel like you're with friends and family! I would like to thank each and every one of them for helping me to change my life for the better!"

My kids went to this practice for years and was very pleased with the doctors and the staff.....until they did a staff change. The ladies in the front are rude and do not know how to answer simple questions about the appointment or about the patients insurance. Hopefully, your child doesn't need to get in for a same day appointment, because that is nearly impossible regardless of what is wrong or how high their fever maybe. Oh GOD FORBID you need your child's shot record ( I recommend getting everything placed on immatrax)!! The person who does the the billing is completely clueless when it come to coordination of benefits among other basic insurance based knowledge. You can leave about a million messages, your call will never be returned. Nope, instead you have to call repeatedly and then take off of work early and go up to the office to get your child's records!! The wait time is absolutely ridiculous even for a work in.
It really is sad, because the doctors at this practice are amazing, but I will not being returning to this place, the aggravation and the treatment of the patients are not worth it to me.

I took my grandchildren with my daughter sometimes to this office and they are amazing staff and friendly doctor even though the wait is a little longer and I understand if they don't have a room available, and I spoke the billing also when i have insurance question and very helpful.

These doctors are only in it for the money. They are horrible. I had 3 children go through this office for 2 years. Their office lost shot records, were rude over the phone and the doctors are rude. My last trip I waited an hour and 20 minutes. When I spoke up to the doctor about it, she didn’t apologize, she told me they expected patience. I said it would have been curtious to tell me the wait was going to be long or apologize for the wait. Instead I received a letter in the mail stating was terminating is... because I complained for waiting.

My poor rating is for the reception/billing staff. Make SURE they get your address correct in case there is an issue/question with your insurance. I could have saved a lot of money if I knew there was a problem. Instead, they kept billing me at the wrong address so by the time I got the bill, my insurance was unwilling to cooperate. I never got a phone call..Staff was unapologetic.
