Overall

I'm a resident at one of the properties Edmonson manages. On numerous occasions, fascia board has fallen into the parking area from one of the upper levels. I contacted them about it twice via email. No repairs have been made. There is no regular maintenance on the property. There is a contract with a landscaper to maintain the landscaping. There is a pool maintenance company that maintains the pool, but on many occasions, the water level has been allowed to go below the skimmer line which puts a strain on the pump. Then, they wonder why the pump goes out. Then, we pay for it with our homeowner's dues, rather than the people who are responsible for the damage paying for it. There is a maintenance man who walks around on occasion, but he is rarely on the property and I have seen him sleeping at the pool during the summer. The contractor they hire to make large repairs to the buildings is incompetent. The "contractor" they use to make "repairs" doesn't even know how to properly install stairs. He didn't calculate the slope properly and had to add an additional step to one of the staircases that he was repairing. The staircase is now a falling hazard because the steps are not spaced properly and are too close together. This "contractor" also painted walkways with high gloss paint that was not intended for use on walkways. It was the paint they used on the siding. The "contractor" apparently is not aware that concrete becomes slippery when the wrong coating is used. Hello? You do not have to be a rocket scientist to know that you are supposed to use concrete/masonry coatings on concrete, not exterior wall paint. I worked in the construction business off and on for five years. My family owned a construction business for several years. My brother has worked in the commercial construction industry for more than twenty years. When a resident complains, they become a target for harassment. Other residents and I have been falsely accused by them without any evidence. Anytime there is a water leak, they automatically blame it on the residents. On one occasion, the management allowed "construction laborers" to enter my unit without my permission. My daughter was in the shower at the time and they just walked right in. There was about an ounce of water that dripped on the ground under the building that they claimed was coming from my unit. There was no threat to persons or property and the water was not coming from my unit. There was no reason for them to enter my unit without my permission, none whatsoever. The only reason they even had a key was because they needed access to our units after Hurricane Ike while inspections and repairs were being made. I have since changed the locks. I own my condo, by the way. As for Curlyhammed, the name calling is really telling. What are you? Twelve years old? The devil is in the details. I have the documented evidence to back up everything I have stated. For most of the issues I have mentioned, one only has to walk the property to see the problems to which I am referring. Prior to the Edmonson's, we didn't have problems like this and the property was managed professionally.
