American Pest Management

I work at American Pest Management and also have services done at my home. I can proudly say I love my job. I have great hours and learn so much about pests, rodents, and snakes. Employees are always kept up to date about what is happening in the company and we always have oportunities to move forward. Monica is the technician that comes to my house, previously Zach, and they have both been great about taking care of roaches on my move in date and Monica has taken care of multiple ant issues in my home. Darren also completed a yard treatment on my home and I have had amazing results with that. I went from being bitten by chiggers everytime I let my dog out to not having a single bite in weeks!

I have had Travis at American Pest treat my house for over 16 years now at 2 different locations. He is always watching out for the pest control needs of our home. One time he even removed a 5 ft snake from our basement and wouldn't take a dime for his trouble. Thank you American Pest for keeping those pesky critters outside.

Had American Pest visit my home today, not only did the technician take care of my beetles and spiders, but the took a long pole with a brush on it and knocked down my spider webs and wasp nest. Above and beyond what I expected, nice technician and staff scheduled easily.

I've had nothing but a positive experience with American Pest Management. They are clearly experts in their field and give me all the options to go about solving my pest problems. Their technicians are very qualified and always friendly to me and my daughter. They MAKE SURE the job is done right, and never skimp on quality. I'd recommend American Pest to all of my friends and neighbors.

I called American Pest Management to seek help for a Brown Recluse problem we have. They said that they could help and came to do an evaluation. The owner was VERY pushy on his sales trying to get us to choose a plan for roaches, ants, and silverfish, which we have none of. He pointed out that there were ants outside the window... um, yes there are ants outside, thank you for that! He also wanted to spray our attic because he said brown recluses overwinter in attics. Well after he quoted us $150 up front with $90/3 months for the rest of the year, I decided we would do some research. Here is what I found:

1. "Spiders "tip-toe" when they walk, so aren't good candidates for controlling with residual insecticide sprays. The entomologist said sticky traps (e.g., Catchmaster) will catch them, if placed in such spider favorites as under the bed, under living room furniture, behind drawers and the like." ~ http://www.ksre.ksu.edu/…

3."The #1 location to trap Brown Recluse spiders is near the furnace and water heater. Brown Recluse spiders are not usually found in attics, crawl spaces, inside drawers of desks/cabinets or on closet shelves." ~ http://www.brown-recluse…

So, they wanted us to pay to spray, which makes things worse by providing an easier food source, and that the spiders won't die from, and they wanted to treat the attic where the spiders are not.

I am VERY disappointed and would never use or recommend this company to anyone!
