Glass Jewelers

I was working with another Jeweler out of town for a couple of months on a Custom Made Mother’s ring for my Mother –In--Law for Mother’s Day 2014.

Much to my horror I called to check on the status of the ring the Wednesday before Mother’s Day since I had not received the ring only to find they never made it! I about panicked. OK I DID PANIC!

I did a search via Bing for Jewelers in San Angelo, TX and found Glass Jewelers. I talked to Kathy Glass at 1:00 PM on Wednesday. I sent her the picture of the ring. It is two toned 14k white and 14k yellow gold. She never hesitated, even though it had an Emerald and an Opal in the setting. Since planning this ring I have had Many other Jewelers literally freak at setting those two stones because they say they are very fragile, they can’t guarantee the stone, blab bla bla.. Seriously I am NOT kidding you. It was almost like grown men crying. My thinking was this is your business you are supposed to be a Jeweler and you are having a fit over gemstones? Kathy never said a word. She just wrote down the order in which I wanted the stones set.

I got off work at 4:00 PM and she already had most of the ring crafted in wax. She was skeptical about the two tone casting and the time allowed but I could just see in her eyes that she was going to get it done. I had read a Google review about her willingness to work with the customer.

At 10:55 AM Friday, Kathy sent me a text picture of the finished ring. She obviously worked day and night on it. This isn’t an ordinary ring. I wish there was a place to add a picture on this site. Kathy saved my life but true to her craft she was humble. If you are looking for a Jeweler that will literally go above and beyond please consider Glass Jewelers. She can custom make anything from a photo to a picture in your head. She listens to you and works with you on a personal design using your thoughts and her artistry. She has a true passion for her work and a wiliness to make the customer happy no matter the cost to her personally. She also has a large selection of Concho Pearl jewelry. I wish I had known about her when I was looking for a Concho Pearl necklace for a friend last year. She is very reasonable on her pricing as well.

I have found my Jeweler for any and all my jewelry needs, in fact I just sent her a picture of another ring I need made without the time constraints that is. :0)
