My son's Macbook Pro from 2007 stopped working and the Apple store wouldn't look at it because they said it was too old. Mactracks handled it and now it works like new. Saved me from having to buy him an all new computer.

Jason saved my life. The computer I use for work totally crashed. Jason was not only able to fix the computer but recover all my lost data as well. It's working better than before!

Do NOT use Mactracks as a Genius Bar alternative. I made an appointment through Apple's website to fix my Mac Mini because they had an available time slot a day before the first available Genius Bar appointment. They charge $85 + tax just to do a diagnostic. Dropped off Friday afternoon and didn't hear from them until Thursday afternoon the next week. They quoted $460 to repair, minus the diagnostic fee, and when I declined and requested a breakdown of what they found out they acted offended and dismissive. I picked up the next day and took to a Genius Bar four hours later and they were able to diagnose AND FIX the problem on the spot in 15 minutes, free of charge. Go to the Apple Store first, this place is not worth the time and cost.

EDIT: I received two calls from Mactracks the next day, first from the manager, Andrew, who reached out to better understand my concerns and offered to do anything to make it right including reimbursement of the diagnostic fee which I declined because it wasn't the charge that bothered me, but I certainly appreciated the olive branch. The second was from the tech who worked on my machine, Jason, who was extremely apologetic and understanding of my frustration but explained the reason behind the push back I got from my original decline of service was that he had already spent a few hours fixing the main issue which had to be done in order to make sure they gave me a correct estimate of total repairs, which he wished he could have explained personally but was unable as he left sick that day, and he did indeed sound pretty under the weather. So I adjusted my review to 3 stars from 1 for the misunderstanding and the apparently free work I received. I wish this had been explained up front as this review would have gone much differently, but they certainly deserve extra credit for reaching out after the fact.

They had the hard drive out of my mac and my back up drive. They had it go over a month. I called multiple times and was told that it was being worked on. The price I was quoted for the job was half of what I was charged. And I was told they got just about everything thing. We had over 10000 pictures and I have around 100. Beware!!!!!

Mactracks saved the day for me today! They recovered a huge research paper from my hard drive after coffee was spilled on my MacPro computer before I saved the work. Coffee was even inside the hard drive, and Apple said only possible way to salvage data was to send it off for 10 days and approx. $1000. Andrew, the top tech person at Mactracks took on my job as if his own job depended on it ....and saved the work in time for it to be submitted. They charged a fair price..not taking advantage of my desparate situation. Integrity, intelligence, service, and kindness is a rare combination these days....But thats what I found at Mactracks!

I woke up a couple days ago and my MacBook wouldn't turn on at all!! I work from home so that was a major problem. I called MacTracks, took my computer in and within hours I got a call to tell me that I had a bunch of crud all over the place and water damage from humidity. I'm not a computer tech so please excuse the fact that I can't remember the name of the part but one of my boards was ruined and Apple was not going to replace it under warranty. Jason (I believe is his name) spent HOURS scrubbing all the components to remove whatever was in there and somehow managed to fix the board without having to replace it :) What a life saver!! Susan, the lady up front, is super sweet and they are both extremely knowledgeable. If I ever need this computer worked on again I will definitely be back!!
