Safari Childcare

The one positive expierence I had with this place is the teachers were fantastic. Couldn't have asked for any better there. As far as the managment goes they are the worst I have ever seen. Started out in February before my daughter was born we signed up securing a spot and then securing our fee. Come September they had lost our paperwork and said they went though a price increase and our fee would be higher. They did honor the fee once we said we were going to go somewhere else. Then in the 6 weeks we were there they went through 5 directors. Each one not knowing what was going on. Then we have been paying once we receive the bill. One day my wife goes in there to drop my daughter off and was threatened by the director that she is not taking my daughter until we pay up. Found out they expect you to prepay for the week and credit you for the next week. So I go in there to see what the issue was and the director boldly lied to my face saying that she had not done that at all and that we were paying on time and ahead of schedule. At that point I pulled my daughter and will never recomend that place at all.

One of my friends has experience working in childcare for a number of childcare companies. She told me that there are certain DCFS standards and regulations, which prohibit food from home to be eaten at centers, due to allergies and to ensure that children are getting the required food group categories at each meal.

Also, calling someone a "childless fool" is truly harsh, as I personally know individuals who cannot bear children at this time due to medical conditions.

I too, noticed a smell in the daycare, but it was not an unreasonable smell. There are many diapers in the building, so I can only imagine it is natural for a daycare to smell this way. Plus, on many occasions, when I step in to a classroom, I see the teachers sanitizing items, so perhaps, it's also the sanitizing spray?

My 2 daughters go to Safari Childcare and love it! All the teachers are highly educated, and I enjoy that everyday they send my girls home with notes about what they have learned during the day. Safari even has a grant from the government to provide Pre School for all!! My little girls get 3 hours of a free preschool program. Thanks Safari

At Safari they will charge you a surcharge even if your child isn't going to be attending that week at least $97.00. Potty training with this facility is a joke they put your children in Pull Ups and don’t aggressively potty train. As a parent I was very disappointed with the promises and consistent let down. Your better off at a Kindercare.
