Toe 2 Toe Dance

This may be a great place to go if you take a scheduled class, but do not believe that you will get good service if you try to book a private ballroom lesson as advertised on their website. We called in December to get private lessons scheduled for a complete dance to one song for our wedding day (since they advertise on their website that they make your wedding day special by providing these lessons). Granted it does say to schedule in plenty of time, which our wedding is in March, so we figured three months of one class a week was plenty. I had a long extensive conversation with one of the employees there about what we needed and confirmed that it would be weekly up until the wedding day and she said she scheduled us. The day of our first class, Stephanie (the owner and one teaching the class) called and stated she was unable to have class that afternoon. While talking to her I discovered that her assistant did not book us for every week like she stated. At that point Stephanie blamed the girl who initially called and said she must have misunderstood. Then, Stephanie had an assistant call back the next week to reschedule (possibly the same one as the first time). Again, I had an extensive conversation about what we needed and verified the times, start dates, and follow ups. We drive 30 minutes on the day of the first scheduled class only to find the place was closed. I called from their parking lot and left a message about how we were there and the place was locked up tight and no one was in sight. Today Stephanie called back (five days later) to state that there must have been ANOTHER misunderstanding when scheduling because she had told her assistant that she was not available that day for class (also stating that she was standing next to the girl while she was on the phone with me - so if that's the case wouldn't she have heard whether or not the girl stated that information? In which the girl did NOT specify that). I suggested that she start making the appointments for her private classes because every time she had someone else do it there was a "misunderstanding". Her words to me were, "unfortunately I have a life outside of here". Well if her life does not allow for scheduled appointments and classes that she advertises then maybe she shouldn't schedule or advertise them. I guess that my "life" and time doesn't matter considering that I wasted over an hour driving to an from her studio when it was closed. My guess is this class wasn't her top priority and neither was my business. If she couldn't do it or didn't want to all she had to do was say so, I didn't need her blaming her assistant or insulting me. I would never recommend a business where the owner is disrespectful like she was.
