Empire Barbershop

Empire Barbershop is the best barbershop I have ever been to.



The staff was amazingly talented, very friendly, and all around great guys.



We had a group of people all getting straight razor shaves (which I also highly recommend) and Jamonte (the owner / Master Barber) set aside three hours of his busy day to help us out.



After all was said and done, Empire Barbershop had earned all of my future business and I know my friends felt the same way.

Going to aBarbershop with a group of women was new to me so when we enterd Empire Barbershop it was actually more than what I had expected, the place was clean with the exception that new carpet was needed, but the service was excellent. There were two people already waiting and one a woman to my surprise, obviously getting shaved by the outgrown look of the last haircut and even though she mentioned that it had been several weeks since her last haircut it still showed how cute the previous had been, after a twenty minute wait and some conversation with my partners we almost felt swept away by the heavy yet quiet upbeat tempo of this shop, my first thought is that this shop has a nice feel to it, my girlfriends "next" is called and she excitedly hops into the barberchair obviously excited about having half of her head shaved, a middle aged smock adorned black man greets my friend with a professional personal kindness that incenuated he takes his job seriously. After taking her suggestions for design ideas she let him "Do his thing" as she put it and I was impressed at how this seemed so impossibly easy to him, his clippers and rhythms moved with the vibe of this shop and I as a woman was really comfortable here. I've been a stylist for over 25 years and have never stepped foot into a One man barbershop with this much appeal. It is on point with the diversity of it's community and the sheer knowledge of what is right in a haircut. And not to mention while waiting there were several other patrons that had filed in after we arrived and boy am I glad we waited because this was a busy man. Empire Barbershop has a lasted impression on me and if my friends want to come here again I will be with them. thank you Mr. Jamonte Nathaniel Stewart
