Livonia Urgent Care

I've been there several times. Very courteous and competent staff.

I've been to this UC several time over the past few years and they've always been very professional and I never have to wait for a long period of time. The doctor's are nice, concerned and easy to relate too.

AVOID the Livonia Urgent Care. The medical service received was fine at this urgent care. However, there are significant issues with its billing practice. I received a bill in May 2012 from this urgent care and paid by using my HSA account. After that I assume this balance was paid as I did not receive any subsequent notifications. Then in February 2013, I received a collection notice from an attorney noting this balance has been send to collection. So, I call up the office and discovered that the payment did not go through and the office did not bother to send another bill or any notifications that the payment did not go through.

I had the same problem with the extra charges and it was not covered by my insurance. My insurance rep actually sent a letter asking for clarification and received no response. May be cheaper than an ER visit but would rather go to an urgent care clinic that understands what an "Urgent Care" clinic is for - after hours and holidays.

Just be advised that there is a $25 convenience fee for "after hours" when using this clinic. That includes weekdays after 5 and weekends (you know, when you can't get into see your doctor and need the urgent care). I called to complain and told them that this fee is not stated on the website or at the clinic. Mr. Mustafa did not care and said "it is cheaper than going to an emergency room.".

There is no doctor by that name there, but I went there and was given exceptional care. I was in an auto accident and needed an urgent care that wouldn't take long. They x-ray'd my neck, which was sore, and referred me to a neurologist. They even gave me the x-rays so I could take them with me, and not pay for them again. It took only 1/2 hour from the time I walked in until I walked out. I go here all the time, and I love it!

Dr Elgahmi was very rude & unprofessional. He was more interested in watching his dvd's than listening to my symptoms.
