Marina Montessori School

My last child just graduated from Marina Montessori School after being the tenth relative attending. We started out with a two year old fifteen years ago and we liked the school so well, each of our siblings enrolled their children as soon as they were old enough to attend. When our cousins or other relatitves are old enough to go to school, they will surely go there. The teachers are so exceptionally nice, we consider them to be like family. Every once in a while we will go by just to say hello. My kids really enjoy stopping by and seeing their favorite teachers.

I have a child enrolled in this school and I absolutely love it. I enjoy going inside myself in the mornings and seeing everyone. The teachers are all so friendly and accomadating. I always enjoy looking inside of the classrooms. They are always decorated so beautifully according to the seasons. I have done quite a few spot checks since my child has been there, and the teachers could not have been more welcoming. They have an open door policy for the parents and the director is always available. One spot check I did, the students were making windsocks, another spot check they working off the shelves with the Montessori materials. The children were having so much fun. My daughters favorite part of school is the park like playground that they have. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a great school!

The rooms are dark and "drab". The "stations" contain poor materials and the variety is minimal. The teachers look bored and are rude. I did a spot-check and sat across the street. From this position, I heard a teacher yelling at a student about using the toilet incorrectly and she's "tired of her whining", she "doesn't want to hear it," she's "had it with (her)". When I did pick up my daughter, her shoes were on the wrong feet, she was filthy, she had a dirty diaper and was hungry. Needless to say, my child was only there one day. I do not recommend this school to anyone.
