Scott Import Service

I had an oil spot on the driveway about 5 inches in diameter. I took the car to Scott's Import Service on Hwy 90, to check on what it took to fix the problem. The owner escorted me to another part of the shop where the Odyssey was up on the rack to show me where the oil was leaking from. He said there was oil all over the engine, which was not true, and he would have to take the engine down and repair the main seal to stop the leak, and he said see this engine on the floor, the owner had the same problem. I asked about the cost to repair my leak and he said it would be over $3000. I said well thank you, and let me have my car back. I left there and went to another mechanic and asked the same question. He examined the leak source and said there were two bolts that hold the oil filter adapter in place that were loose. He tightened them, and would not charge me for that. The leak disappeared permanently until this very day, and that's been at least 6 months since this episode. Always go for a second opinion before you let go of your hard earned money.
