Woodmaster of Maine Inc

We spent 22K on a new flat roof and siding. The roof failed after one year and we also noticed that the fascia board was removed from around the top edge of the house, but not replaced. We have been on the phone with Woodmaster for months, trying to get these issues fixed. After several missed appointments, Travis did finally come over and confirmed that shoddy work was done around out chimneys, and that's why water is pouring in. Since then it's just been one missed appointment after another. I called them on Tuesday and told them they have til today (Friday) to get over here or we'll have the work done and take them to court to pay for it. The next day Travis did his usual routine of telling us he was on his way but as usual, no-show. So, off to small claims court we go. I've never had to do that, and I hope they can pay.

I hired Woodmaster of Maine Inc. for new shingles on my roof in 2004. I am definately not educated on roofing, and felt I would be safe hiring a company that tooted their own horn so loudly. As it turns out, the horn they were tooting shot straight out their ass! Not only did they lie about not hiring sub-contractors,(who after they finished, gave us their own business card and told us we paid double what we should have), the work was shotty, the flashing was gapped and unsecured to the home allowing water to poor in. I went from a roof that was sound but old, to a new roof that leaked like a sive. I have been dealing with repairs from Woodmasters "lack of quality" for 3 years, and am thousands of dollars in repair bills. We are currently trying to get Woodmasters to pay for their poor workmanship, however it appears that we may have to hire a lawyer, and go down a long, even more expensive road. If you are looking for quality, honesty, and a warranty that is more than toilet paper, dont call this company!
