Dr. Joy and her amazing staff never cease to impress me. Chelsea, the manager, is so friendly and inviting. The assistants, Lucy, Genet, and Jessica make taking X-rays so easy and painless. They are so friendly and nurturing. The hygienists, Toni and Mercedes, are so friendly and caring. Dr. Joy has been my dentist for over 15 years and she is a true gem. She is so knowledgeable, friendly, and charming. My dental health is in the best hand with this team!

Dr Cotten & Melissa rock!

It's so unfair to judge this office and the wonderful ortho staff because of the front office staff and the office manager.

I can deal with them because of the great work Dr Cotten has accomplished on my child's teeth. Melissa is the most patient dental assistant in the entire office. Request her ! Unless we are there at the same time ha. I don't know her last name but she does the best impressions (my child has strong gag reflex) and she knows what she's doing!!

My experiance at this office was overall great. I did not have to wait long in the "waiting room" before I was taken back. The staff was very nice, Dr was very informative, and had a great sense of humor. I would deffinately recommend this office. GREAT environment.

Disappointed on the return visit with my daughter. We waited more than an hour with no apology but instead my daughter was asked why did you come so early? My daughter said she was experiencing pain with the crown on her tooth. She was told to just wiggle it off. That's the problem, it's not coming off.

My husband went in to pick up the x-rays to switch dentist office and I understand it's our perogative to switch and not asking for anyone to beg us to keep their business. To continue business, positive word of mouth it would be beneficial for a place of business to at least ask why especially when one of the dentists was standing there listening for the request. If you're happy, hey best to you. I wasn't and looking for a caring atmosphere especially of all places at the DENTIST OFFICE.

I would recommend this office to my family and friends. Being a teacher, I look for affordability and your pricing is reasonable compared to others in the area.

BE WARNED

I totally agree about this dental ranking up the rate for your service that are not needed. I too also came in for the first time to get a regular check up and needed only one crown for one of my tooth and next thing I knew the dentist advised that I needed another crown to be done or else it can be bad in the future. It's weird that my specialist never told me that I needed a second one. But since I can't afford to pay for the crown at the specialist I came to this Monarch dental in Murphy to get only one and they pulled a double whammy on me. After getting my temp crown for my so called not-needed 2nd crown I had the most horrifying throbbing pain that made me almost wanting to put a bullet into my head. I called in and ask them why and they said it is only temporary and should go away in a day or two. Not only it lasts about 3 weeks I was already on my 3rd bottle of tylenol since that was the only thing I could take and I was out of town. I woke up in the middle of every night crying because of the anxiety pain that was soOOo unbearable. When I finally got back to that office it turned out the assistant did not drill the temp crown to fit my gum correctly therefore it cause an inflation to my gum. When the dentist put on my permanent crown not only he can't tell the difference if my crown was placed in comfortably and made me bite into the paper to grind on it and about to put cement on it I said "wait a minute but it still felt to high." So he drill it to fit into my tooth. After everything was cemented down permanently........they gave me the mirror to look at it and I was about to burst into tears because the crown look so d**m fake and noticeable that they can not redo it the same day because it was cemented down. The crown was so smooth all around that edges that it did not match with my other previous crown that I had 6 years ago. There were no biting edges to break the food down when chewing. I then ask the dentist again and they seem to always have so many excuses. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND not to come to this dental unless you are seriousy asking for it.

Poor Service, unsatisfied

My first experience with this clinic was a dental routine, where both my wife and I went a few days apart. In both instances, we waited in the exam room, (not the waiting room) for 45 minutes before being seen by the dentist. The dentist checked my teeth and said I needed a filling, and a procedure to help prevent gum disease, this procedure is a simple injection of antibiotics into your gums. My insurance does not cover this procedure, but they offered financing on the spot. The account coordinator was in the exam room within moments after I agreed to the procedure. The procedure was a few injections of antibiotics into the gums.

My wife was told she also needed this procedure due to weak gums. Both of us brush and floss properly, and had been to previous check ups on schedule, and none of these procedures were ever brought up by our previous dentist...So either our previous dentist failed to inform us, or this office took us for a ride. The price for each procedure was a little over $1000 for each of us.

A few weeks after my filling on my top right molar, my tooth got really sensitive to cold/heat...after a few days I went to back to the dentist who said everything looked fine, I even bit on a pad so she could see my bite mark pattern, and she said it looked good. She did a little bit of grinding on the filling. It has been 3 weeks that I have a really sensitive tooth, not a pain, but a real discomfort. If I drink cold or hot liquids, I need to be careful or I will feel it on my tooth.

We are simply waiting for the new year so we can change our dental plan at work and find a different dental office. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone. We feel like they do not genuinely care for their patients, have made us wait more than what should be expected each time but are very quick to sell you a service.
