Rite Med Urgent Care

very profesional place i love the doctor's,give us a lots of info,nice assistant a nice stuff.....i like to go there

The one thing I know is this organization hires racists to work in it's Westland office and the staff writes scripts to their family and friends. The owner does not care that one of his staff used to be rude and disrespectful to his black patients and staff. Also one of the Dr. would constantly leave and not come back for hours if not at all.

They let rally seen me for ten min. When I waited 3 hours. Calling for a follow up which I was told to do and they tell me to go somewhere else. My symptoms have not gone away and they tell me to wait til they get worse to see a doctor. Very unprofessuonal. Oh not to mention they have you fill out this survey for a review in front of them right after you've been seen and he even lied on it after I told him I waited so long he put 45 min. Place is a scam.

I would give Zero Stars, if possible...



Simply put, the worst medical care I've ever received ever. Don't let the fluent English fool you, Dr. Sami Elamin is a terrible doctor, who received his medical training in Khartoum, Sudan.



My physician's office was not open on the weekend, and rather than go to the emergency room for flu-like symptoms, I decided to go to RiteMed Urgent Care. Big mistake...



After a briefly describing my symptoms, Dr. Elamin postulated that I had a viral infection, without performing any cultures, and recommended 5-7 days of rest and fluids, and to take OTC medications like Nyquil.



Now, this might pass as Medical Practice in the Third World, like Sudan, but here in the United States, I could have gotten this medical opinion from just about anybody's grandmother.



Needless to say, I wasn't too happy about this diagnosis and treatment plan, and I let him know it. He then stated that he did not like my attitude, and was under no obligation to treat me.



I responded, in kind, that my insurance provider was under no obligation to pay for his "alleged" medical services, should I call them to dispute the charges. He immediately went out to the front desk and told the staff to cancel the visit, and refund my co-pay.



Needless to say, I went to another urgent care facility in Garden City, shortly thereafter, and saw a competent doctor, who performed strep and flu cultures (both negative), diagnosed me with probable viral infection, but to be on the safe side, prescribed me an antibiotic, along with other medications to relieve my flu-like symptoms.



Less than 24 hours later, I was already feeling significant relief...



Avoid RiteMed Urgent Care, and Dr. Sami Elamin, like the PLAGUE...

Ok this place is a joke now, I've been here a few times in the past few years. It's really went down hill. Fist off they didn't take any vitals. I don't know any doctor office that don't do that. They will diagnose you without any info. Only thing they are good for is a note for work. Will never go back.

Nice assistants, but very disappointed in the Dr. I've had the flu for 5 days. No meds for my stomach, no nothing. She just said if it isn't better tomorrow, see my primary Dr. I didn't need to spend money to hear that haha. Its like she didn't care.

This place sucks. Took people before us when we were here longer. More than an 3 hour wait. Didn't even treat the cold.could have just want to the er and got a better doc. Never come here worst place ever

This is a ridiculous place just go someplace else. It has taken me over 3
Hours and 2 visits just to be treated for a
Sinus infection. They aren't even busy. If you want to pay a copay for a doctors note then that is all this is good for .

VERY SLOPPY AND RUDE. I was treated very rudely by the receptionist at the front desk. She also said that my Blue Care network card was inactive and therefore not usable. I called the number on the back of my Blue Care network card on my cell phone from their waiting room and Blue Care network said that was not true, that my card was good. So I put the Blue Care network representative on speaker phone so that the Rite Med receptionist could hear Blue Care network say that my Blue Care network card was good. The Rite Med receptionist informed me that this was not good enough for Rite Med to accept while she was rolling her eyes at me. HOW RUDE!

It was some time before they would accept my card approx. 1hour later. NOT VERY "URGENT CARE."

They sent me home with 2 prescriptions of which I had filled on that day and started the meds. The following day another doctor at Rite Med electronically sent another prescription to my drug store. Rite Med never notified me that I had been prescribed another prescription.

Yes they called a day or two after my visit to see how I was doing, but failed to tell me that another prescription had been sent to my drug store. So a week later my drug store emailed me saying that this third prescription was waiting for me to pick up. ALL THE WHILE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKING THIS THIRD PRESCRIPTION.

A week later I'm still in pain and I fear permanent damage has been done. I will find out this coming Monday as I have a follow up appointment scheduled with my primary doctor.

I took my husband in May 22nd ,they took excellent care of him,gave us lots of info,and called 3days later on a Sunday to ask how he was and to tell him when ex rays would be in,the Doctor and Nurse both have great re poor with the patient,I would highly recommend them to anyone and will go back if need be. Very Thankful....

.Went to this urgent care and seen by Doc Almhana . After a week of rashes on my legs and body and getting worse. I walked in this office and not having a good feeling . What looked like a doctor playing with his cell phone barely looked up at me told me someone will be with you. Nurse was not very warm and friendly I noticed they were closing soon. The doctor walked in he asked me do I have bed bugs!!! I said no, I think there flea bites but NOT sure. He said I'll give you cream and pills. My husband asked can you put something on the rash to comfort her skin until we pickup the prescription. He yelled out to the nurse in the hallway if they had ointment...how unprofessional. He put a glob amount of ointment right out of the tube on one of my many rashes and walked out of the room and sat on the front desk!! I RUBED THE OINTMENT MYSELF. I Asked HIM ARE YOU DONE .He said yes. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!



WELL I ended up at the Emergency room 2 days later at St, Mary's Hospital with serious POSION IVY.... NOT FLEA/ BED BUG BITES.

This doctors doesn't know the difference of posion ivy and flea bites...lol!!!! OMG!!!

Hey Doc GO BACK TO MEDICAL SCHOOL!!!!!

AND TAKE A 2ND CLASS OF BEDSIDE MANNERS.

I got up very sick on a Sunday morning. Looked on the Internet for an urgent care so I would not have to wait till Monday to call my doctor to see IF they could fit me in. This place was open at 8 and had 2 good reviews. I'm here to tell you they were absolutely right. The place was great. I got there @ 830, saw the doctor, who was very caring and knowledgable, he faxed my prescriptions right to the drug store who had them ready when I got there to pick them up. I was able to get medication in me early, spend the day in bed and felt good enough to make it in to work the next day,obviously not 100%, but still. I would go there again in a heartbeat and send my husband and son. It was way better and faster than the doctors office and trust me, I love my fam. Doctor, I've been going to him for years and years. But in order to see him you get a run around. Not here just show up and sign in. Great place!

I was treated very kindly, professionally, and in a caring manner for an upper respiratory infection in February of 2012. I don't have medical insurance and the cost to see the doctor was very reasonable. Referred a friend and her family to them and she was also satisfied with their care.
