Funeral home is so caring and helps walk you through everything. They answered questions and never overwhelmed me.

I had to find a funeral home in a bit of a scramble. I didn't know much about it, I only knew that I wanted to avoid the funeral homes owned by huge companies that are out to shake people down for as much money as possible. I chose Allen Family Funeral Options on a whim, and couldn't be more happy with my decision. They were fantastic. They were kind, genuine, and did everything they could to help me through a difficult time. They were very professional and were happy to go out of their way for me, and all at a reasonable price (well, compared to others). I'm grateful to them.

DON'T USE EVER!

I called and scheduled a meeting with the Allen Family Funeral and showed up only to be told they had a death in the family the night before and they forgot to call and cancel their appts, ok? I forgave them and rescheduled, even though being in the business you'd think they's be prepared. The owner was late to the next appt and came into the room with no apology. She seemed very tired or put out but I proceeded anyway asking about their options and pricing. While asking about additional pricing she became very defensive and said my mother had a "jaded attitude". She also told us that pre arrangements meant to schedule what we wanted not to pay ahead. That would fall on the responsibility of whomever after death???? Also the military discount was only if you pre arranged not after death. But since you can't pay ahead then the prices can up . She was rude and after she called my mother jaded I started to get up to leave as she jumped up said she'd never work with us or take our money ever and went to the front door opened it and told us to leave. NEVER in my life have I been treated so badly and especially during this time. My father is very sick and God forbid if he's already passed she has no sympathy or empathy WHAT SO EVER! She is in the wrong business.
