Dr. Hawkins and teamed saved our 11 week old Golden’s life!

On November 5th my husband and I adopted an adorable golden retriever puppy. We named her Winter. We had the best week with Winter, and over the course of the following 7 days she captured our hearts. The very next Saturday, we noticed that began to get sick. Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy.

After 24 hours of declining sickness we took Winter to the ER to see what was wrong. Dr. Hawkins confirmed the worst. Despite having her first round of vaccinations and close care, our Winter has parvovirus AND campylobacter. She was immediately admitted for hospitalization.

She was hospitalized a total of 8 days at an unaffiliated clinic in the area that could see her around the clock and treat her for both Campylobacter AND Parvo. With little to no progress and a horrible prognosis we decided it may be best to bring her home and make her comfortable.

THANKFULLY, we consulted with Dr. Hawkins and team of AECNF hoping to get advice on home care.

We received a call a few hours later from Dr. Hawkins. He had a brand new plan to try on our baby as other vets had simply given up and prepared us for the worst... not on Dr. Hawkins watch!

Fast forward 12 hours - our puppy Winter was wagging her tail, sniffing, and completely alive! We were in disbelief as we were told there was nothing left to do at other ER Clinics.

We are going on 24 hours since she was seen by Dr. Hawkins team and she’s improved to the point we are FINALLY talking about bringing her home. Eating, drinking, and totally not liking her IV - which is great! (Going on day 10!)

Thanks to Dr. Hawkins advice and love for our puppy, Winter has more than a fighting chance to keep living a happy, healthy life. It feels like a miracle but really this organization is knowledgeable, dedicated, and willing to fight!

Thank you Dr. Hawkins & Dr. Murphy for making the live saving decisions to give our baby a second chance! We are so grateful!

Worst ever. I had to transfer my kitten to here because my vet didn't have someone overnight on the weekends. I was told it would be a simple transfer. Not only was the receptionist completely incompetent and it was like talking to a wall, it was over an hour to even see the doctor myself. My kitten didn't need blood tests, anesthesia, or to be reassessed because he had had that done less than twelve hours prior. All he needed was to be monitored on his IV for hia pancreantitus. They did all that anyways, charging us for what my kitten didn't need and the receptionist gave me a really difficult time.

Not only that I watched as a woman came in to ask for help getting her dog out of the car and the receptionist just looks at the dog and says "he looks like he can walk fine to me" and the dog had been attacked and couldn't walk.

Never got the chance to speak to the doctor as I left and they called almost right as I got back 30 minutes later. Never going back there again for anything

Awful. Run the other way. I wish I had something positive to say about this place but I've been here twice both with bad experiences. The most recent time was for my dog who was attacked. We walked in & were told to have a seat, with my dog gushing blood. They let us sit there for 10 minutes before we knocked on the door to say our dog needs pain meds asap. We were told we'd have to wait, until I insisted she (I wish I knew her name so I could call her out) come over and look at my dog's paw. She agreed it was urgent, disappeared for another 10 minutes before coming to get him. By this time my 9 year old great dane was losing strength. Then the same tech came out telling me his diagnosis!!!! She kept going on & on until I finally asked if she was a doctor, which she wasn't. I told her she was way out of line for talking to me about my pet before the DOCTOR has. She huffed & puffed but went away. Then we finally saw the doctor who was pushing hard for surgery on a 9 year old great dane...has he even ever treated one? Surely he knows that's a bad idea. So I insisted he wrap it up & we'll go to our vet in the morning. He did that, gave pain meds and a shot of antibiotics. My vet did not push me for surgery nor did he say it was required as Dr. Hawkins would have me believe. My vet was appalled that Dr. Hawkins only gave Tramadol for his pain. At our vet we are treating it as an open wound, and he's doing great especially since he got real pain meds & is on antibiotics. I wish I could add a picture of his foot but it was about a 4x3 flap of skin hanging off.

at 10:30pm 5/26 my 2 dogs got ...

at 10:30pm 5/26 my 2 dogs got a bite by a venomous snake ( not sure which kind ). I rushed to this clinic since it is the nearest to my house ( 5 mins away). Dr Fitzgerald was the attending vet. The guy at the front desk was understanding of my emotional wreck of a self. I wished I caught his name. Honestly I believe they saved my 7 yr old chow's leg & possibly her life.( she got it worse then the younger one) However, the next day when I called to check on them and see if they could be picked up, Dianne told me "they were busy" & " she'll fit me in." when I got there, only 2 people were in the waiting room ( granted they could have been busy in the back ). Dianne was VERY disorganized and confused ( couldn't remember which papers she gave me, which ones she needed etc). I asked to speak with the attending vet. that never happened. I also asked for copies of both dogs blood test results..she said they wouldn't have them ready for another 5 hrs..what the heck 0.o. I left frusturated with out those copies as well.( spennding 2.4k I thought I should have something besides the bill in writing ) speaking of, when I got there I owed an extra 200 dollars, and when I asked what for she said she didn't know but " be assured, that whatever they are charging you for, they did ". while I was waiting she also answered her personal cell & left me hanging. while standing there a guy came up to the counter & GAVE dianne money back because SHE handed him too much money originally. Avoid Dianne if you can !
