I was still struggling with the recent loss of my mother when my sister & I decided to replace the fireplace chimney on mom's home. We had obtained several quotes, When Pierce Kerry came to give his. We liked his knowledge & attitude immediately. He promised a good job & said he was a man of his word.
I couldn't have been happier w/the 3 man crew that came out. The Lead crewman & his daughter were clearly very knowledgeable & patient w/our many questions! He explained every problem he exposed in the original construction as he tore our faulty chimney down. I was astounded to learn that the original builder had neglected to make a 2nd row of brick against the original wall of the house, PER CODE! It could've burned down the whole house, as the fireplace is in the basement, with chimney going up & beyond the two story roof! Rather than charge us more, Kerry, a true man of his word, stuck with the original quote. We also needed every single flue pipe replaced, as well.
Integrity in any home construction is rare, in my opinion. I will be forever grateful for the attention to detail committed by the Mason & the man who made this possible in the first place, Pierce Kerry. We could not have afforded any other quote. God bless you all! P.S. After reading the review below mine, I did have the same scenario play out. However, I have faith that Kerry has improved his approach. Outstanding construction, fair price & cleaned up site well afterwards! Definitely use them again!

Took three attempts to have someone contact me to arrange for an inspection and quote. After receiving the quote in writing and arranging to move forward with replacing roof and gutters, I received a call that they made a mistake and the job would be three times the amount quoted. What?!?! Cannot trust a company that does not stand by their quote.

Recently had Kerry Mason replace most of the concrete surrounding our home we extended the patio, and replaced the front, side and rear walkways. The crew arrived early around 7am rang the bell to let us know they were starting our concrete project (I was glad they did because it got extremely loud with the sledge and jack hammer). The crew of 6 men, 4 older mature and experienced men and 2 younger guys. They were all courteous, and respectful which I greatly appreciated. They used Wille Brothers cement, did quality work, and removed and hauled all the dirt and debris away. They finished everything around just before dark and I was pleased with the finished project. However, what I didn't appreciate was that Pierce the owner ask his crew leader Andy to get the balance owed for the work therefore, I asked him if he had any paperwork showing the balanced owed and that he received payment from us for the due balance (which was a significant amount) and he said no. So I told him to have Pierce call me. He calls and asked if he could come pick-up the check, he also doesn't have any paperwork? To make matters worse he came to our house after 9pm to pick-up his check as if we were going to pack-up and leave before daybreak! Didn't ask us about how we like the work or how things went NOTHING, ONLY ASKED ABOUT HIS CHECK! Unprofessional and shoddy to say the least! As a business owner myself I would have NEVER went to my clients house to pick-up a payment after 9pm and to top it off ask nothing about the service I rendered to them.....POOR, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Therefore, even though I like the workmanship the customer service we received was soo poor we wouldn't use them for any future concrete projects!
