Tru Limo took 32 kids after the Junior prom to the after party. An 11 pm- 3am shift. The driver, Kira, was great. On time and admittedly had to put up with a bigger mess than they should. I will backtrack and say dealing with Kevin was easy and the price was right.
The party bus was spectacular. To add to it, my only complaint (and compliment) was a 9:00am phone call ( I chaperoned) that a kid left his wallet on the bus with $$and credit cards. Great job!

Highly recommended limo service! I called in to book a limo for New Years for my friends and I, and he was really informative and super nice. Limo arrived on time to pick us up. Great customer service overall! I will be booking Tru Limousine again for the next event we go to.

This company sent me a party bus for 21 passengers. I had 21 normal sized kids and adults combined. 19 crammed into the seats. I had to bring an extra 2 stools for the other 2 people. I complained because they misrepresented the vehicle's capacity. They showed me the vehicle registration that says 21 passengers. One of my party was supposed to sit withe the driver up front! Then the owner charges me an extra 40 minutes at the end of our 12 hr $2,000.00 rental. There are so many other limo companies- Don't use a guy that does business this way.

Best limousine company hands down. The car was beautiful and the driver knew exactly where to go and had us there on time. Don't waste you time elsewhere. The prices are great too!

Do not use this company. They are arrogant and condescending and I am shocked they are still in a customer service business. We used them for my son's prom and I think they thought it was just kids.... but we paid $1,500 for a H2 Hummer limo and they didn't even care that the ipod docking station, which was one of the features that my son thought was great, wasn't working. Then they called me a liar and said the driver said it was working when he actually tried and failed to fix it. I wish I read some of the reviews before my son booked them because they have treated other people the same way.... with such disrespect.

LEFT US STRANDED ON THE STREETS ON OUR WEDDING DAY!!!!!!!





Got married on 7/31/11. Our Church ceremony was held in Maplewood,NJ (one block outside of Irvington,NJ). We paid full in cash plus gratuity before our wedding day because TRU LIMO said we would get a discount for paying in full before wedding date. We paid for 4 hours of service (1pm-5pm). Our Ceremony was over at 4pm and the Limo Driver barged into church telling our guest (While Bride and Groom were taking family photos) that he was going to leave if we don't pay him an extra $100cash for staying overtime. Since, we were all excited about our wedding and not paying attention to time because non of us had a watch on, we paid him an extra $100 cash. After we finished our photos at 4:30pm, and after all of our guest and family had left to go to reception held in West Orange,NJ (only 15mins away)...We got into the limo and the limo driver, drives two blocks away from Church and stops the limo and turns off the air and told us that we had to give him an extra $100 to move the car. It was very obvious that WE (BRIDE AND GROOM) did not have our wallets or cell phones with us, nor a watch. We told the limo driver that we would give him cash when we get to the venue. He said "NO" he's not moving until he gets paid on the spot. The limo driver demanded us to get out the car on the streets of Irvington, NJ and "WE" (bride and groom) had to walk 2 blocks back to Church in the heat wave to call a family member to pick us up on our wedding day!!!! we did not pay attention to the time until we walked back to church and it was only 4:50pm! The limo driver lied to us about keeping him over time, we even paid him an extra $100, and he demanded for another $100 after all our guest left to go to the reception from Church.





Limo driver did not wear tux as promised, no champagne as promised, and no red carpet as promised. He ruined a huge chunk of our wedding day. Left us stranded, stole our money, and we were late to our own reception. PLEASE!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TRU LIMOUSINE

We used them last week and took out one of the buses. All went well and our driver Al was really cool. He suggested a few places we hang out so we went and had a blast. Overall, the bus was new and clean, the driver was on time and we paid what we were quoted

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! Not only were they 30 minutes late to pick me up for my wedding ( yes, my husband was waiting at the alter for 30 minutes), but they were late because they driver felt that he had extra time between dropping off my groom and picking me up that he decided to go run some errands! When my mother and I had called to see where the limo was, the OWNER started YELLING and CURSING at us for questioning his business and his employees. When the limo had finally arrived, I had to give him directions every step of the way- as if he didn’t just drop my groom off in the same exact place an hour ago. After the ceremony, my mother ( dressed in her ball gown) and grandfather In his tux) had to unload the guests overnight bags from the limo, as the driver just stood there supervising. When my mom finally asked him for assistance, his response was that it wasn’t his problem. As if this wasn’t bad enough, we had paid for the limo for 5 hours, and when we booked we informed the owner that we would be making a stop between the ceremony and reception for some pictures. He had told us that it wouldn’t be a problem since it was on the way to our reception and since we had the limo for 5 hours. He also mentioned that if we wanted the limo for longer, we could just pay per half hour the day of. Well, when my husband informed the driver of our interim destination he said NO! After a heated conversation with the driver, he agreed to let us go in for “5 minutes, no more, no less.” After our 5 minutes were up the driver literally came into the building we were at and started pulling the wedding party out like a herd of cattle.



When I called the next day to discuss the service we received with the owner, he once again started SCREAMING and CURSING at me. When I stated that we wanted the 20% service fee ( tip) back that was included in our payment he said it wasn’t possible and hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS LIMO COMPANY!!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE!!!

I was Impressed

I am writing this post to say that I was impressed and this a very good company to work with. We reserved the new 2011 42 passenger VIP ROOM Party bus and it was off the wall crazy. All I can say is OMG! They really have a nice bus and the hostess Johanna was awesome. We got just what we asked for and they did a wonderful job and I would recommend them everytime and all the time.

Great to work with

After several visits to limousine companies and looking at about 8 companies all over New York and New Jersey, I found some interesting facts. The biggest issue I found was that most of these companies didn't even own the cars they had on their web site and most of them required an appointment to see a car and even when making an appointment, the cars were not there. At Tru we found that everyhting he has on his web site was on the lot, they started up all the buses and allowed us to put our Ipods and DVDs in to see if things worked. We were impressed how clean the cars were and more happy to know that we could come without an appointment and when we did, the cars were always clean and they treated us like royalty. The day before our trip, Kevin allowed us to come into the bus and decorate and he even helped. Our trip was fantabulous, the driver did a great job and the bus they had was the best bang for the buck.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the worst limo ride i ever had. To make a long story short. They were unprofessional. #1 the limo arrived late #2 limo driver never opened the door #3 driver went down a one way.. made an illegal u-turn..hit a parked car and left the scene…#4 never made it to the second destination. When I called to speak to a manager (Kevin) he was rude and told me that we didn’t make it because we were the ones running late and would not refund me the money I lost. Kevin was truly unprofessional when we was talking to me and told me that if I wanted to get my money back then I should take him to court. I made several complaints to BBB and Consumer Affairs… DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

Amazing Service

Just yesterday, a group of us parents got the 42 passenger Bus for a prom in Pennsylvania. We are located about 2 1/2 hours from this company and were really concerned about the distance they were from our home. Not only did they get here, they were here an hour ahead of schedule and the bus was AMAZING! The service was impeccable and our driver knew where he was going. Unlike what I have heard about some of these limo companies, TRU came through and they absolutely beat out all the others in price and value. More bang for the buck and they are the "Red Carpet" of the limo businesses that we searched on the web. We will tell you, they are number 1 and you should use them before any others.

Most Diverse fleet and more bang for the buck.

We did our search on the net and talked to friends before deciding to go with TRU. We had the 42 person bus out last weekend and we went down to Atlantic City. Besides the bus arriving 30 minutes early, it was clean and the wood floor had just been sanded and polished. I was impressed the way they maintain the fleet since it is rather large. The bathroom smelled nice and everything worked fine. We can say that after looking at 7 different copmanies with these motorcoach limo buses, TRU had the best looking equipment and didn't require an appointment to come see it. We just dropped by unannounced and saw that the bus was clean and to me, that says alot. They have nothing to hide and give you more than you expect. The service was beyond the norm and it is easy to see why they have grown so big. They are just good at what they do.

It is very interesting to be contacted by TRU Limousine and be asked to write a review. Yes, I did read the review by the "Sour 9" and all I have to say is things happen, get over it and get on with your life. Personally, I have used this company many times as I certain many others have. They have been in business a long time and certainly, if you are doing business, you will have some who are not going to like you. My experience of course has been totally different or I would not be writing. There are about 15 people from my company that use TRU LIMO and we all have had very positive experiences and the review that was written here and other places would only make a difference to an ignorant person. Anyone who is informed can see through the personal smoke and dismiss it.

IN Re: 6 months after using our service, this company received 3 email alerts from different web sites that Kristy Lynn Moody, Linden, NJ 07036 has posted negative reviews about this company. This company did perform wedding limousine services on 8/14/2010. Ms. Moody and her husband Tomasz Kierzkowski contracted a 21 passenger party bus from 1:30pm until 5:30pm for a period of 4 hours, not the 5 hours claimed by Mrs. Moody- Kierzkowski . The vehicle arrived at the above address at 1:07pm for a1:30pm scheduled pickup and sat idle until 1:35pm and then took the groomsmen to the Seton Hall University Chapel as contracted. The Bus arrived at 2:09pm and after the groomsmen were discharged, the bus immediately left for the Belleville location.



Our driver left Seton Hall University and headed down South Orange Avenue to the Garden State Parkway and north onto Belleville as directed. Enroute to the Bride’s location, there were no stops or diversions, just the normal traffic congestion that bottle necks the G.S. Parkway northbound. The vehicles drove in slow stop and go traffic and arrived at the Bride’s pickup location at 3:10pm.

Approximately 5 minutes before the vehicle arrived, the brides’ mother contacted our office and began screaming and cursing about where the bus was. The bride’s mother was briefly placed on hold while we tracked the bus utilizing our FleetMatics tracking system. When returning to the phone the bride’s mother was advised the bus was in Belleville only a few blocks away.She began yelling and accusing us of lying. At no time was profanity exchanged with the bride’s mother, she infact was the one who became angry and began yelling profanities. Once the driver arrived, he contacted our office and advised that the bride’s mom was calling him names and yelling at him outside the house, in a very abusive manner.



On the issue of a call to the office the next day, a call was made to advise that the driver failed to help the passengers to get luggage out of the rear of the bus. Our driver revealed that he was at the side door helping passengers exit while some passengers who had already exited the vehicle had gone to the rear to take out belongings and has denied any of the actions described herein. With respect to the bride stating that she wanted the driver not to be paid, she was advised that it is illegal to work employees for free and that no company can take a wage from an employee. Furthermore, she was advised to put a complaint in writing to this office and it would be addressed. To this date, our office has not received a written complaint. The wedding was contracted 4.0 hours, went 10 minutes overtime and there were no extra charges. We were not late for any pickup and our driver did not run errands as the poster suggests. All times and actions as described by us, are accurate as this vehicle is tracked by satellite tracking. No negative comments or profanity was used towards any person by any employee of this company. All stars on time everytime

Having used TRU Limousine since 2001 for many events such as my prom, my wedding and still today for airports and when we go to New York or Atlantic City, the driver was always on time and we never had anything but great comments on our driver and the staff.



I know personally that if you call TRU Limousine with any question or concern, it is always resolved expeditiously and fairly. As in the case and this writer comments on a bad experience with a driver, hey these things happen. It seems like TRU took care of things and even gave this woman some money back. The driver got fired as well! Wow, I thing that TRU handled their affairs very well. Okay, after reading this womans complaints, what is her issue? She got the driver fired and got money back. I guess she has no idea that although she feels she was wronged, there is no reason to be so hateful and vindictive. It's has been written that what comes around, goes around. She needs to keep this in mind and learn some compassion.
