Coal Ridge Animal Hospital

My two dogs were suppose to play with other dogs everyday they could while I was gone for Christmas. I made the reservation that way and spoke with the receptionist the day I dropped them off about it. It was chaotic and I guess she missed the form that I didn't know existed... so they hardly left their tiny 4x6 crate for all 6 days. I live in Boulder and drove all the way out to Coal Rudge because they have great reviews online. I am infuriated with what happened. I also got all of their belongings back soaking wet with "water" but they were dripping brown liquid. The girls resolution was two free days of playtime next time I board. Thanks for something I'll never use. I will never leave my dogs in this horrid place again.

Over the past 2 years Coal Ridge has misdiagnosed 2 of our dogs. The first was in April of 2012 when we took in our 6 year old Golden Retriever because she was not eating. After running several tests, they could not figure out exactly what was wrong with her. We took her to another vet who immediately diagnosed lymphoma by checking her lymph nodes. Coal Ridge even admitted their mistake by refunding part of our payments. Unfortunately, our Golden died several months later. The other case involved our Chocolate Lab. We took him to Coal Ridge to have a lesion on his nose checked. They said that it was nothing serious, probably just dry skin and that we should put vaseline on it. Again, after taking him to another vet, as we were getting sick and tired of vets that had no compassion for either the client or the animal, we found out that he had Lupus and severe muscle atrophy which forced us to put him down. I would not recommend Coal Ridge Animal Hospital at this time unless they hire more competent and caring vets.

My dog Rocky and I loved this place! We found our new veterinarian! The staff was so nice and helpful, and the prices were extremely affordable. Plus, they have a huge boarding facility that I wll be using in the future. They also have a therapy pool for dogs which I thought was great. I will be recommending to all my friends that they should bring their pets here!
