They really care about what they do! They were very helpful and have continued to follow up with me and make sure that my cat is better. The doctor really explained her thoughts to us and she really examined my pet well. I would recommended them to everyone who is looking for a caring and professional vet.

Overall

Dr. Jennifer Ennis Lee is an outstanding veterinarian.

I was a client of Dr. Joy Isbell. After speaking with Dr. Joy and meeting with Dr. Jennifer Ennis Lee about the continued care of my pets I decided to stay on as a client after the sale of Krum Veterinary Hospital to Dr. Lee. I can tell you that I have not been disappointed with the care of my pets and have always had a positive experience with both Dr. Lee and her staff. I have two geriatric dogs and two cats. They have a variety of health issues. The dogs require continue care, prescription medications, and special food. Dr. Lee and her staff have given, and always give, exceptional and compassionate patient care. As prices continue to increase in the pharmaceutical and medical establishment, Dr. Lee will go out of her way to find you less expensive alternatives and comparable medications, if available. There has never been a time when I have left feeling like enough had not been done to help my pets continue a happy and enjoyable life.

Dr. Lee and her staff take patient care very seriously. If for some reason your pet needs a special surgery or critical care they cannot provide, they will go out of their way to find you that perfect veterinarian specialist or veterinarian facility that can assist you and your pet. Dr. Lee and her staff leave no stone unturned and will keep in touch with you and provide follow-up care if you request it.

The groomer is wonderful. She is experienced and will personalize the groom for you if you request it. I have older pets with dry dull coats and every time I take them to be bathed and groomed they always come back to me with looking sharp, bright, shiny and smooth.

The kennel staff are kind and responsive to the individual needs of the pets they care for. They pay attention to your pet’s cleanliness, medical needs, appearance and happiness. With the close supervision of Dr. Lee, they do their very best to see that your pet has a safe, happy, and healthy stay.

The online pharmacy is comparable to other online pharmacies and in some cases even less.

The Krum Veterinary Hospital under Dr. Lee’s management has become energetic, orderly, clean and professional. Dr. Lee gives personalized care to her patients. Dr. Lee’s staff are friendly, intelligent, kindhearted and hardworking. They give excellent customer service and patient care, but most importantly they care about the work they are doing and it shows in the exceptional job that they do

I have three dogs and live in Grand Prairie and when something serious comes up, I take them to Dr. Isbell in Krum. It is approximately 60 miles one way but worth the trip. When my oldest dog was having problems and no one could figure out what was wrong with her, Dr. Isbell figured it out immediately. It was Cushings disease. Now, under the proper medication, she is doing great and her spirit is back! She does not act like a 10 year old anymore, more like a 5 year old. It is good to see her happy again. Also, anytime one of my girls needs surgery (i.e., dental work) I only go to Dr. Isbell. I trust her and the advanced technology she uses during her surgeries. Jenifer and the rest of the crew have always helped me out any time I call or come by. My only issue is, I wish she would move to Grand Prairie. :)

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Joy. My babies do not go anywhere else. She is the ONLY person that I allow to touch my fragile 3 lb. Chihuahua. She understands my concerns and respects my requests. She listens. She is VERY good with my three dogs. I've been to vets across Texas, and will now only go to her. We drive about 40 min's JUST to go there. I would drive further if necessary.

I would say that Krum Vet. Hospital is where my dog goes when he gets an ear infection. The staff is wonderful, they all know him by name! The Dr. really cares and can always get us in right away! I highly recommend Krum Vet and so does Milo :)

We also were pleased with Dr. Isbell but found as well that she didn't always see our pet. The technicians we encountered were very young and not very experienced.

Our dog was nervous and scared -- but not when the vet was handling her. The customer contact was also done by young and unqualified staff. We chose to take our valued animals to another practice.

Mixed Emotions

I have mixed emotions on this because the staff can be good and the doctor is kind. I had been taking all my pets there. And, the doctor worked well with my cat and was kind when we had to put her down due to terminal illness. However, when we got our dog, we had good care until at the time of his neuter. Apparently, by what I was told, he lunged at the doctor. However, I had different stories from the technicians. One tech said that the dog couldn't be "Masked" which is when they place an anesthetic mask over the dog's mouth and nose and force the gas in until the dog relaxes. This normally scares animals as it smells different and they feel that they cannot breathe the same. Most clinics will give a medicine that sedates the animal and then put a tube down their throat (once sedated) and hook up the anesthetic. This way, they can monitor how much gas goes into the dog as well as how much oxygen. So, I understood the fuss my dog would put up for that since he had never tried to bite or growl at the doctor before. Matter of fact, he even boarded there and received great reviews by them about his conduct. Another tech said that the dog just did it from having the doctor listen to the dog's heart. And finally, a different tech said that the dog was scared because he had waited so long before having his time for surgery and had observed many different things. However, since that time, no one would approach my dog and acted like I brought Cujo in the clinic. And, the last time I took the dog in, he was fine as he had always been before - no growl, no try to nip, he laid on the floor and even took 2 cortison shots without flinching. Does that sound like an aggressive dog to you? But, the visiting doctor didn't hardly touch him (didn't look at his ears, mouth, listen to heart, etc.) and no temp. was taken on the dog and yet I was charged a full exam fee. The tech was the one that did more of a check on my dog. I lost confidence in the doctors as much as they lost confidence in my dog. I asked the tech to make note of my dog's good actions in the exam notes. Because whether you are aware or not, if your dog acts like it will bite, that is put in the exam notes and goes from doctor to doctor. Right now, we are searching for a clinic that does not act fearful of a large dog. It is sad because I really enjoyed the clinic for my cat in the past. I really think that the clinic is more suitable for small animals in space and attitude. A side note: my dog has passed basic obedience and is currently working on advanced obedience. He always is great with other dogs as well as many different people as he visits at Petsmart and other locations.
