All American Floors

I had a very BAD experience with All American Floors. A one week job turned into 4 months of hell and inability for me to move into my home due to lack of professionalism and workmanship. The floors themselves are beautiful but I credit the manufacturer for that. We tried to be reasonable on many occasions however each time the owner failed to rectify the problem and deliver. The workmanship was average at best with some shoddiness. The workers were sloppy and damaged a brand new railing in my brand new home. He acknowledged this and still had the audacity not to fix it. Contractually he was supposed to replace the baseboards, refinish them and paint them. This work was so poor quality that it took THREE times for his people to try to fix it. After they were unable to do so, we had to hire the contractors from GL Homes which he finally agreed to pay for after weeks of bickering. The job was truly pathetic and once GL Homes came in, the job was nearly flawless. Furthermore I contacted the manufacturer who stated in writing that the floors were installed improperly which caused a white hazing all over the floors because they treated the wood incorrectly and something about the mallets they used. Basically they did not follow the manufacturer's protocol for installation. The manufacturer had to send out an inspector which took more weeks. Finally there was a work around and they fixed the problem which did not void the manufacturer's warranty.

Moreso I am disgusted that he tried to scam me by stating there was more square footage and tried to charge me an additional $4000. After proving to him through GL homes and my architect, he reduced the fee to the proper amount.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend ALL AMERICAN FLOORS to anyone. In fact, my neighbor (who's house is bigger than mine) and who also is using the same architect and went to meet the owner Tony will also not be using him.

I give this company a BIG TIME FAIL!

Please Don't become a victim of dishonest and negligent contractors. I would think a business who puts themselves out as High End Workers should take a little more pride in their work before they charge $45,000 on floors. Shame on All American Flooring and its owner.
