There are many techniques that may be used to reduce breast size. Depending on the amount of correction needed, your procedure may include liposuction, traditional incisional surgery, or a combination of both. Liposuction options include traditional liposuction, laser liposuction (SmartLipo™), ultrasound liposuction (VASER®), or power assisted liposuction. Liposuction alone is usually indicated only for women seeking a slight reduction in breast size, without any repositioning or reshaping. Dr. Levine graduated from Columbia College with a 4.0, earning the distinctions of Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. He earned his M.D. from the Yale School of Medicine, graduating Cum Laude and finishing in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Levine continued his training at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, first in General Surgery and then in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery there. Dr. Levine completed an Aesthetic Fellowship at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he is now an Associate Adjunct Surgeon. He is one of the few plastic surgeons in New York City who was selected to complete an advanced aesthetic fellowship beyond his plastic surgery training. Mohs Surgery
Mohs surgery is one of the most popular and successful methods for removing basal cell, squamous cell, and other nonmelanoma skin cancers. During Mohs surgery, thin layers of cancer-containing skin are removed and microscopically examined onsite. The excision procedure is repeated until only cancer-free tissue remains. While Mohs surgery helps to minimize both the amount of tissue removed as well as damage to surrounding healthy tissue, after the procedure a skin deficit will exist where the cancerous skin was removed. When a wound is created on the face after Mohs surgery — whether the resulting deficit is either large or small — it can result in obvious, and even disfiguring, scars. Mohs reconstruction is a surgical technique to close wounds and repair skin defects after Mohs surgery in order to ensure that any resulting scars are as inconspicuous as possible. As a plastic surgeon with expertise in both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, as well as advanced aesthetic training, Dr. Levine offers a variety of sophisticated Mohs reconstruction techniques that produce outstanding, natural-looking results.

Brow Lift
He has the advantage of many years of experience as a traditional “cut and stitch” plastic surgeon as well as an extensive array of in-office lasers. He will chose whichever method he believes will provide the best result, even if that method requires more effort on his part and costs the patient less. Let me repeat that: he will choose a method of healing that makes him work harder and costs the patient less if he thinks that method will provide a better result. In my case I went to him for terrible acne scars that had plagued me my entire adult life. No matter how many doctors I had consulted or which methods were tried, each doctor made the problem progressively worse instead of better. Dr. Levine recommended a procedure that is extremely labor intensive for the surgeon but which was covered by my insurance plan, so it cost me nothing. When my insurance expired he continued to perform the procedure once a month, every month until I was satisfied. Do you know of any other surgeon in New York City who would do such a thing? Although his efforts had produced improvements far beyond what any other doctor had been able to accomplish, I asked him if there was anything else that could be done about my remaining scars. Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery can address problems in the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both lids. The technique used will depend on the particular anatomy and needs of each patient. Upper eyelid surgery can improve upper eyelid contours by removing excess skin. Incisions are well hidden in the crease of the upper eyelid. Lower eyelid surgery can reduce the signs of aging in the lower lids. Incisions are hidden either inside the lower eyelid or just below the eyelash line. Fatty deposits may be repositioned and muscles may be tightened to improve support. Dr. Levine will discuss with you which techniques will best suit your specific needs.
Liposuction
As part of the natural aging process, people gradually lose some of the underlying fat stores that help to give our skin youthful fullness and volume. When collagen production slows and natural fat is depleted, we begin to see changes that can make us look tired and older. In the face, cheeks begin to look hollowed, facial lines and wrinkles form, and the lips become thinner. Loss of soft tissue volume in the hands can make veins look more prominent, while the skin becomes loose and wrinkled. Natural fat grafting, also known as fat transfer, can help restore youthful volume and reduce the signs of aging in the face, lips, and hands. Fat grafting may also be used to enhance and augment volume in other areas of the body, such as the buttocks and breasts, as well as to correct irregularities or defects from previous liposuction, reconstruction, or other cosmetic procedures.
Breast Augmentation

While breast augmentation with implants can result in long-lasting enlargement of the breasts, it’s important to remember that breasts are dynamic organs that transform over time due to natural aging and hormonal changes. Breast Reduction
Particularly large and heavy breasts can create both aesthetic and physical concerns for women. While some women are self-conscious about a disproportionately top-heavy figure, other women may experience physical symptoms as well. Heavy and pendulous breasts can cause back, neck, and shoulder pain. There are many different ways to reconstruct breasts after mastectomy. In general, procedures fall into three categories: reconstruction using breast implants, reconstruction using the patient’s own tissue (autologous breast reconstruction), or a combination of tissue flap procedures and breast implants.

Face Lift
Some of the earliest signs of aging can be seen in the mid and lower face, as skin becomes lax and the high, full cheeks of youth slowly descend to a lower position. These changes can lead to the development of jowls and loss of jaw line definition. Many people are bothered by these initial signs of aging, but don’t want or need a full facelift procedure. A mini facelift (mini lift) is a less involved procedure with more limited incisions and faster recovery times than a traditional facelift. Breast Surgery

Skin Cancer
How can I tell if a growth is skin cancer? The only way to know for sure is to have any questionable skin irregularities examined by a qualified dermatologist. Yearly skin exams are recommended for all, and more frequent skin exams for people with a personal history of skin cancer. Self screening plays an important role in the early detection of skin cancer as well. You should examine your skin periodically, taking note of any changes. Use a mirror to check your back, and remember that skin cancer can develop anywhere on the body, even in places that are not exposed to the sun. Pay close attention to any new moles or growths, as well as changes in the color, shape, or size of existing moles.
