We recently had our 20 year old pool re-plastered by Petri pools. We went from a white plaster pool to a pebble look and it is gorgeous. The team they sent out was very professional and cleaned up after their work. We had a graduation party planned and Mike ensured that the work was complete on time and to our liking. I loved being able to reach out to Mike directly via text to ask questions throughout the process where he responded almost instantly. Our experience was so good we have decided to have them perform our regular services, something we have never done in the 20 years of having a pool. If I had to do it all over I would you them again. Our 18 yr. old pool was in need of some renovation and updating, so we began searching for reviews and recommendations in all the usual places ("Best of", Better Business Bureau, etc.). The one business that kept showing up consistently was Petri Pools, so that's who we chose. Mike Rakes handled our project from his helpful recommendations during the initial contact and material selections, through all the steps of the remodel, and until it was finished and we were once again using the pool. Mike was always readily available, and kept us thoroughly informed at each step of the process. He helped rearrange the schedule when necessary due to weather, etc., in order to keep the project progressing without delay. The workmen were always on site promptly and did an amazing amount of work in a very short time. In short, we couldn't be happier with the end result.

Petri Pools did a complete pool renovation involving our plaster, tile, coping & deck resurfacing. It looks beautiful. Mike Rakes worked closely with us throughout the process.

Happy Customer with lovely pool remodel! Petri pool's just completed our pool remodel (re-plaster and tile replacement). The quote was very competitive; we had bids from 3 different companies. After a quick trip to their showroom, we discovered that they were able to provide a blue mini-pebble plaster at close to the same cost that the other bids came in at with a plain white plaster.

We worked with Mike Rakes; he is very professional and customer focused. He kept us in the loop with texts on what was going on throughout the project. All of the individuals that assisted with the remodel were polite and easy to work with -- from the people in the showroom, to the laborers, to the individual that completed the chemical and finishing work. Thank you to Petri Pools for exceeding our expectations on a fabulous pool remodel.

I could not be happier with the job Petri Pools did. My pool was in terrible shape and Petri did an amazing job renovating it. If you are looking to have your pool renovated I can not recommend Petri Pools strongly enough.

I just finished having my 23 year old gunnite pool resurfaced with new tile, coping and apebbletech finish by Petri Pools. The end product is absolutely stunning. Mike provided outstanding project management skills -- keeping the project on schedule (even with holidays) and keeping me apprised of the various activities. I can only rave about the workers - from their respectful positive attitude, being on time, cleaning up each day, to an end product that is as close to perfect as I would know.... Each flagstone piece was cut and fit just right. In addition, Mike handled everything with the first week of maintenance to include ensuring my pool was running and cared for in freezing weather - as I was out of town. I give Petri Pools the highest rating possible for work quality, timeline, professionalism and also for making the selection process for the materials super easy!

In November 2017 we contracted with Petri to replaster and build a tanning ledge for our pool. Pricing was very competitive. They stayed on schedule and crews were on the job promptly as Mike advised. They also did a good job with cleanup after work was completed. Mike was easy to reach and communicate with an was patient with my numerous questions. We will continue to use Petri for ongoing service and any maintenance issues that may arise.

We did our research before selecting Petri Pools to do our pool and spa renovation and, boy, were we happy with our pick! It was a pleasure to deal with Justin, who kept us well informed at all times. We received a confirmation call every morning before work started and a prompt call when weather resulted in a delay. Weather delays were rescheduled quickly and work was completed promptly and efficiently. We expected our pool to be out of commission for much longer than it was. We are thrilled to be swimming in our pool again. It looks awesome!!! We would recommend Petri Pools in a heartbeat.

Mike took great care of us from the very beginning. He was able to explain the breakdown on the cost of the renovation and showed us the how to make smart decisions on materials while keeping the cost down. Mike and his team were out here all day on days when the Texas summer sun was very unforgiving. They sometimes stayed well into the evening to insure that the project was getting the attention it deserved. Petri Pools created a whole new pool and swimming experience for my kids to enjoys for summers to come. My wife and I can enjoy being in the backyard again too. The professionalism of this company is bar none. With a lot of construction going on around my house, it was a breath of fresh air to have a contractor that we knew had everything taken care of. We are so overwhelmed by the beautiful job they did. I would absolutely use them again!!

Working with Petri Pools was hands down the best experience I have had with any contractor since I moved here 18 years ago. What a great experience. Justin walked us through the options and made suggestions about what tile and plaster work well together. We could not be happier with the results. The best part is the communication. I received a text message letting me know when to expect the crew, and updates if there were any delays. Justin and his team did an excellent job. We remodeled our pool to include reconfiguring the pool, adding a dedicated pool cleaner line and booster pump as well as updating the aesthetics. Justin worked with us and guided us through the process providing expert recommendations while listening to what we wanted. The end result is better than we dreamed. All of this was done while maintaining the exact pricing quoted at the beginning. The work began on the exact date we were quoted and the work was done quickly and professionally. Justin and his crew did a great job renovating our pool. When we moved into the house, the pool was a total mess- broken/leaking pipes, cracked plaster, old tile, cracked deck, no coping, broken spa molding, the whole 9 yards. I had several companies give me bids, and he was the only one who came out, walked me through the entire process and showed me what was wrong and why it needed fixing a certain way. Everyone else encouraged me to piece-meal it together, which would have been very unwise. They delivered on the timeline, price, and quality of the service. We are very happy with our new pool, and would do it the exact same if we had the chance to do it over again. Well done to Petri Pools!

Petri Pools exceeded my expectations. Justin Petri provided a fantastic consultation before the work even began. I felt comfortable with him and didn't feel like he was trying to upswell me. As a matter of fact, he was able to provide solutions to fit within my budget. His advice swas very helpful including tile selection and color of surface. Petri Pools exceeded our expectations with our pool remodel-excellent communication, no surprise overages, his subs are trustworthy & talented - we simply could not be more pleased! We presented Justin (owner) with the challenge of updating the functionality and appearance of our 30 year old pool (we purchased the home in 2015) with the caveat that we keep the original bullnose brick coping as it is in excellent condition (and while no longer popular, we like it). Incorporating old material with new material in a complementary, intentional fashion so as not to appear like a half-done project. We had 2 contractors refuse to even submit a bid to keep the bullnose, meaning they wanted their vision, not ours.

The job entailed replacing all old Arizona flagstone with OK Silvermist (blue/gray) flagstone on the spa and the pool retaining wall, rebuilding/stabilizing the pool retaining wall and upgrading the old white, quartz plaster with Peerless Pebble (color selection EP3). All the white fittings were replaced with gray and the main pool drain was replaced/brought up to code. Plumbing was a tangled mess of pipes and were re-plumbed to improve efficiency and maintenance of the pumps and filters. Pro Pool Care did our start-up and got our "new-to-us" pool sparkling.
Petri Pools was the 1st of 5 estimate we obtained - we had a "feeling" from the get-go that Petri would be our choice. Justin is hands-on and takes pride in his company which is a win-win for all.

Chose to go with a local company and so happy I did! Perti Pools quoted a competitive price and work was performed in a timely manner. Not only did I need my pool to be re-plastered, I needed rusted re-bar to be repaired. Justin kept me well informed during the process.
