When I first started using FenceCo approximately 5 years ago I was satisfied with my fence and their service. I am not sure why they suddenly started to decline after that. Their customer service has allot to be desired. phone calls and emails are no longer answered in a timely manner. Once I called with an emergency service request on our electric gate. The woman answering the phone said she would put my message on the owners desk, it was over 1 week later before he contacted me, he stated that it was overlooked on his desk and she never bothered to say anything or follow up. The fencing they sold me started to cause me issues, when the owner finally came out and gave me a bid on repairing my fence it was 3 weeks later before he was able to send a crew out. The crew arrived around 10:00 am each morning and would leave around 2:30. One day the foreman met with me and said the owner didn't order enough material to finish the repairs and he would have to speak to the owner and come back at another time, have not seen them since. I called and emailed the owner and didn't receive a response until months later. The owner called me out of the blue and wanted to know why the ticket wasn't closed or paid. I explained that the job wasn't finished and I had tired unsuccessfully to get an explanation or response to my email, phone call and complaint, since the job wasn't finished I was not about to pay the bid price as they owed me an adjustment. At this point I was fed up. Flash forward 2 years, our electric security gate stopped working and since they installed it i contacted them to come look at repairing it. After a week the owner came out, looked at the gate and said he would have to go back to his office and speak to his gate technician, during this time he seemed more concerned about the unfinished repairs on the fence issue, he seemed upset that his Foreman had quit and gone to work for a competitor, I haven't heard back from him since. A repeat issue with this guy.
This is Steve Ashmore and I am the General Manager for FenceCo Inc. I am a little disappointing at the timing of this post by Kathy P. The circumstances were not exactly as she details here. Just prior to this post, we had voided all charges to her account and apologized for the confusion. Bottom line is that she got quite a bit of work done for free! We also responded to a service request for her clickers not working early in the morning. We made three trips and could not find anything wrong. Finally, our service rep was at her house at 6:00am and it turns out that her husband was just not pressing the button on the clicker firmly enough. We also did not charge for any of those service trips. We did decline to do more work for her and suggested that she might be happier getting someone else to do her work.
