At 1st I thought this was a wonderful school. Boy was I wrong. I am not one to write reviews but I feel like I was tricked that this was a great school. My child after 2-3 weeks of going, his attitude changed for the worse. He was a terror and he was not like that before. Come to find out, some children in his class were misbehaving and so he thought it was ok to act like this. I watched the cameras and noticed my child was in time out almost 3-4 times in a day. Never before was he in trouble. I called and spoke to the owner and she said, yes, there are some children that this is there last chance here. I mean I paid good money to have my son go here for him to have his whole attitude change from a sweet boy to the worst child you could imagine. He wasn't listening and was being unruly. We took him out of this school immediately and his behavior went back to being his normal self. It only took me 4 weeks to figure out this school. Don't send your child, you will regret it.

We have had our grandson at this school for almost 2 years. Last year was fantastic for him. He learned so much it was exciting. This year the school gave his class 2 brand new teachers who were quickly overwhelmed by the rambunctious group of kids and our grandson was daily punished for his normal 5 year old behavior. We have also had ongoing issues with the school enforcing the problem with their handicap parking. Our daughter and her mom are handicapped and the office has blatantly told us they will not go deal with the violators who regularly park in the handicap places to use for a quick in and out. In fact, the school staff even encourages construction crews to just park in those spots. If anyone else who reads this has had the same problems, please email me at pp1962@gmail.com.

I really like this school. My son loves his teacher and is on his second year there. The staff is very nice and I really feel that he is in a great and safe christian environment.

My son has been going to CCDS for just over three years now. I cannot even begin to tell you how much they have improved my son's life! He has struggled academically as well as emotionally from traumatic family events. The owners have been incredible and same with the teachers. My son hugs all of them and loves them like family. The have kept his youth intact while teaching him and nurturing him. I absolutely love this school/daycare! Never had any problems at all with anyone there. I too scratch my head when reading the negative reviews. I have never met more caring, down to earth, people who genuinely care about my child. And my child has has some behavior issues not caused by them and they have helped me successfully help my child through the issues. I have always been impressed with the teachers he has had.

Our three children all attend CCDS. Our oldest child started 4 years ago shortly after the school opened. Our family has had a very positive experience. All of our children are flourishing spiritually and academically at CCDS. If we have had any normal issues that arise in a school setting as to be expected, (other children, parents, staff) these issues were quickly discussed and handled. Our children are very attached to their instructors and classmates. All of our children have very structured days that include art, play, education, naps, snacks/lunch. Jenny and Barry (owners) speak to us everyday that we pick our children. We have been very pleased with the care and progress that our children have experienced at CCDS.

When we started at CCDS, my sons teacher was wonderful. I would pick him up and she'd be sitting in the floor reading to him and the other kids a book. He picked up his love of planets from one of these books. Then she left and it went downhill fast. The replacement teacher wasnt anything like the former. When I'd pick him up she'd be sitting at a table ignoring the kids. She disliked my son and didnt even try to hide it from me. He was filthy when I picked him up, she refused to make the effort to clean his face or hands. The school began to call me & say my sons behavior was out of control & that I had to do something. One day I was watching on their internet video system and witnessed her drag my child halfway across the room by one hand & then jerk him up by one arm and drop him against the wall. I figured out the main part of his misbehvior was a developmental delay that their "educated" teachers missed and the fact that this woman was so mean to him. It's sad when a grown "professional" child care provider is unable to separate her personal feelings regarding a child and acts like a giant child herself. The best thing I ever did was leave this place behind. I wouldnt go back or let them watch my cat.

My grandson attended Community Christian Day School before he and his parents moved to another state. We are all grateful that his first school experience was at CCDS where he was safe, secure, and happy! We can only hope that the staff and teachers at his new school in Florida will be as kind, attentive, and competent as CCDS! I highly recommend Community Christian Day School!

Couldn't Be Happier

My son has been at CCDS for almost 3 years. The word "daycare" does not describe this olace. It is a very family oriented school where the owners and teachers are committed to helping your child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. we have at least 6 friends who also send their children to CCDS - we are all happy with our experiences. Reading the bad review made me scratch my head... I, nor anyone I know, has experienced anything close. I am sure some teachers are better than others but that is true anywhere you go. I would recommend CCDS to anyone looking for quality childcare - no hesitation.

Wonderful Pre-School - So bles...

Wonderful Pre-School - So blessed to have such a nice pre-K school in Smyrna! My daughter started at CCDS the day they opened thier doors - she was there every day (5 days a week) from before 8 am till around 4 pm. My husband and I couldnt have been more happy with the teachers, owners and staff. We felt the classroom atmosphere really helped in preparing her for Kindergarten and admission to a magnet school. She enjoyed school every day from classroom work to playground time. She always had a smile on her face when I dropped her off in the morning and a hug for a teacher! My child was in the 3 yr old class and then in the 4 yr old class - both years we met lots of great folks and were happy to be part of such a special place. CCDS will always have a special place in our hearts! I would recomend this school to anyone with a child needing full time care - it is not a daycare but a Pre-school :). So THANKFUL for this school.

The owners keep having my review removed from the superpages website. Which makes me wonder how many other bad reviews have been removed as well. If I would have seen bad reviews prior to enrolling my child, I could have saved myself alot of trouble. None of this is false or made-up. I'm simply sharing the bad experience I had with this place of business. This is the same review they had taken down. "We had very high hopes for this school after being on a waiting list for over a year. Shortly after starting, my child was coming home with bad reports every day and it seemed as if our child was a burden to the teacher. He also had begun hitting, scratching and pinching. Our child was enrolled at a different school for over a year and NEVER had any problems. We had to change schools due to a scheduling conflict. I'm sad to say that he didn't come home singing Bible songs, instead he had learned phrases from his teacher like "Do it again and see what happens" and "Too bad so sad." He came home saying these things to us. We brought this up to the owners and was told "no one has ever complained about our teachers before" and shrugged it off. About a month later they kicked out our 3 year old son for being too aggressive. INCREDIBLE!! They kicked him out after teaching him these behaviors and phrases and never accepted responsibility for what my son had learned there.

Do not send your child here wh...

Do not send your child here whatsoever. My son's teacher was horrible!! Worst ever. I wish I could tell you all every bad experience I had. In the 3 mos my son was there, his class went through 2 teachers and my son had to adjust. The final teacher that was there was an awful experience for my whole family. My motherly instinct kicked in and I pulled my child out. The owner backed up her teacher instead of dealing with the problem. Her only excuse was is that the teacher would never do any of the bad things I caught her doing, like hollering at the kids or giving my child the cold shoulder! I watched all the other kids eat snack but mine had to get up from his chair and ask for his snack to be open!! How heart wrenching was that to see! The principle told me very coldly that her snooty school was not working for my son and I agreed and told her we were already enrolling him in another and that my son need not finish the week out! I am horrified and outraged and I should contact BBB!! Also, my child NEVER BIT anyone until he came here! Do not send your child here!1
