Missouri Welding Institute

Literally went from making $345.00/wk to making $3500/wk my first job out. Best school out there! 10/10

Pros: Missouri Welding Institute is good place to get a well rounded education in a variety of welding skills in a short amount of time. Since this is a non-government funded school, the teaching is right down to the point and no time is wasted on "unnecessary fluff" classes like in a traditional college or votech school. Most all of the staff and instructors are very polite and helpfull.
Cons: Since it is a non-government funded private school, you will not qualify for government student loans and the tuition is not tax deductable .
The school has apartments leased thru selected landlords in Nevada. One of the places is Oaks Family Inn and they are currently priced at 100.00 per week all utilitys included, cable, and internet.
Pros: Reasonably priced, clean and well kept.
Cons: Very few cable channels, slow internet, no alcohol allowed on premises even if of age, very high standards to follow or you will be evicted. example(flat tire on vehicle for more then 2 days is cause for possible eviction)
Conclusion: they get paid whether the apts are full or not so they can be very particular and selective.
Beware of Cedar Street Apt complex owned by R. Savant. It has a huge cockroach infestation.

I am currently enrolled in the course and about to graduate. I have enjoyed my time here! I learned an extraordinary skill and furthered my skill an unbelievable amount! I would recommend this school to anyone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and learn an incredible and very rewarding skill! It isn't easy with the seven hours in the shop a day but it is well worth it!

The staff is good about selling you a dream and treating you nice on the front end. Once they get you to orientation, they treat you like a new inmate. It is just like MTV scared straight. Once they have your money, customer service is out the window. This is a great deal for ex cons or people going for free. The rules are the same as a rehab or halfway house which they neglect to tell you until they have your money. Bottom line is customer service and treatment is unacceptable for those paying their own way.
