Product was not good in 2008, service lacking too

We used Naturescape since 2002, in both our old home and our current home. Service was pretty good in the past (2002-2006), as they would come out again to do another treatment if we saw a lot of weeds or if there was a huge amount of rain right after they put down a treatment. However, over the past couple of years, their service has not been good and the product is poor too. We moved into our new home in 2005 (same town, just a few blocks away). Our lawn seemed to improve in 2006, and a little bit in 2007. Our first treatment in 2008 was put on our lawn while the front was partially covered with snow (33%). The snow had just melted in the backyard and we were not able to get out to put away all of the toys that our kids played with in the snow. Naturescape said they put down a treatment, but there were toys everywhere, so my guess is only half the lawn in back received a treatment. After the second treatment in 2008, there was a heavy rain within an hour after the treatment. We called after the first and second treatments to have them come out and do the treatments over and they said for us to wait a couple of weeks to see if there were still any weeds. In 2008, our lawn looked terrible. We had clovers coming in from one side of our lawn and another weed coming in from the other side. About mid-summer, we asked Naturescape to come out to look at the weeds and a note was left on our door from Naturescape saying that the kind of weeds that we had on the lawn were not treatable, so there was nothing they could do for us. We were concerned about grubs and they said our lawn was fine and that we did not have grubs. We decided not to sign up for service in 2009, and a representative called in March 2009, to say that there were complaints about our representative last year ("ya think?") and that he would be taking over the account and would make things right for us. We asked him to come out to address our concerns about our lawn and to do only the 1st treatment. We think he put down a treatment and quickly sent us a bill and did not comment at all about our lawn. We called him to discuss our lawn and he said he would come back out to check on it. He never came back out. We already have clovers coming in and we are pretty sure we have grubs. Our lawn looks awful right now. We have decided to do the treatments ourselves as we really cannot trust these lawncare services. We don't know what happened to Naturescape. We liked their product and service in the past and we are very disappointed with their product now and their service is just terrible.
