Eye Care Associates

I went to the Laurel Eye Care Associates to have my eyeglass prescription filled. I’d gone to one of Laurel’s most highly esteemed and well established eye doctors for my exam. When I got the glasses, they weren’t right. They distorted my vision. I went back and the optician insisted that they were right. He sent me back to Dr. Bradley, who very graciously repeated the exam. The prescription was the same. I went back to ECA where I was adamantly told again that there was nothing wrong with the glasses. I went back to Dr. Bradley who offered suggestions for the optician at ECA in making corrections. I was told by the optician that those suggestions weren’t valid. He couldn’t have been less helpful or caring. He finally agreed to re-do the glasses after Dr. Bradley wrote a note. They were worse than before. I spoke to the office manager at ECA about getting a refund. She told me that they would have stood behind their work only if I’d used one of their doctors for my exam. If that’s the case, legally it should be disclosed prior to filling prescriptions for glasses. I’m stuck with $300+ glasses that I can’t wear. Please don’t have your prescription for glasses filled at Eye Care Associates. If they aren’t right, you’ll have to eat them.
