Scerri Quality Wood Floors & Paint

This is not your ordinary review since what happened for Joe Scerri to polish our wood floors was certainly out of the ordinary.
We had used Scerri Quality Wood Floors a number of times before very happily so I contacted them mid-summer to polish our floors again this summer. They said they were terribly sorry, but they were already fully booked since summer dates need to be made far in advance. I explained my daughter was getting married Sept. 2. They said they would try to squeeze me in, but I would need to wait until the last minute given their tight schedule. Then Joe got pneumonia and had a fever of 105 and said he was so so sorry and could not accommodate me. Despite being very ill, Joe walked me through how to polish the floors myself, including sending multiple emails about how to find the right floor polish. End of story: Joe started to feel better, and he polished our floors, even if he was still coughing when he did it. (I felt really badly about that).
PS He got stuck in our building's elevator, which broke down, for half an hour on the way to the job, and he still didn't complain. BRAVO, Scerri Quality Wood Floors!

Joe and his team renovated our apartment, replaced floors, a drywall, painted all walls and ceiling. We couldn’t be happier with the result. The new floors look beautiful. The paint job is impeccable. We were really impressed with Joe’s professionalism and work ethic.

People were telling us that the renovation will inevitably take longer than expected, but Joe completed it by the date that he promised at the start. Our neighbors were particularly impressed with the great care Joe and his crew took to protect common areas outside of our apartment.

Joe very obviously loves what he does, and it comes through in how he works. He attends to every detail of the job making sure it is perfect. He is easy to communicate with — texting is his favorite method — and responds promptly. His workers have the same great attitude. His assistant Lucy is easy to work with, punctual and quick.

Our apartment has a couple of wooden steps leading to a door. This is where we had a chance to observe Joe’s artistic nature at work. He didn’t just replace the old woodwork with new. He restored the whole structure, made the steps wider and more comfortable to use. This was his idea. We were used to the way things were and we were initially skeptical when Joe proposed it. We decided to trust him and are very happy that we did.
