The "WORST" company I have ever dealt with. I have to hire another company just to fix their mistakes

I had new Hardiplank, gutters, soffits and fascia installed on my 30 year old home to replace the warped and delaminated original wood T-1 siding and original gutters. Ryan with McGlinch & Sons was wonderful to work with and extremely responsive to any questions I had. William and his team was fabulous and did a phenomenal job. They installed the siding perfectly and with extreme care and made sure I was aware of any potential issues. They cleaned up thoroughly every day and when the job was completed, walked around with me to make sure I was happy with everything. I have had several neighbors as well as friends tell me that the workmanship is phenomenal and how great the house looks now with the new Hardiplank. My husband and I are extremely happy and satisfied and we would recommend McGlinch & Sons to anyone who wants Hardiplank installed. Thanks again to Ryan McGlinch and William and his team.

I have never had an issue! Roof, Multiple Window installs, and a few remodeling projects. Always cleaned up, they even take their shoes off when they enter your house! They work at the highest level of craftsmanship. They cleaned up my projects work areas and always kept me updated. I can be high maintenance and they took it in stride. I highly recommend them to everyone.

A decent job on my roof, but the work crew really destroyed my home and landscaping in the process. My attic was filled with hundreds of nails and pounds of debris they left behind. My yard was similarly trashed, and I'm still finding nails and construction material. For the price, I was hoping for a more professional job.

from what I've witnessed their business practice was a bit shady to say the least

We received a quote for a door replacement at the beginning of November and were told it would be just a few weeks to have the job done. We wanted it done before the cold of winter really set in. The door needed to be custom fit and therefore special ordered. Apparently, a problem occurred in communication between McGlinch & Sons and their manufacturer, and we paid the price. We finally got our door this week (at least 8 weeks later), but only after installation was put off once again for "another coat of paint." Then, the day they were supposed to be here, they were an hour and a half late because the WRONG door was picked up from the manufacturer. After calling to receive a discount for all the inconvenience (especially since one of us had to take a day off work for the 8 hours of installation), the owner of the company said he couldn't do anything for us. After being in the service industry for over 12 years, I am appalled at the lack of customer service and that this lack of concern came directly from the owner. I expect this from a lowly hourly employee, but the owner? On top of that, we are currently waiting, 4 business days and counting later, for a screw that was missing from the parts for the screen door. While the door looks good and the guys cleaned up the mess just fine, I guarantee there are other companies out there that not only do quality work, but give quality service as well

McGlinch and Sons just wrapped up a major exterior remodel for me....What a pleasant experiance. I Had a new GAF Roofing System put on my home as well as new James Hardie Fiber Cement siding installed.....WOW!!!! What a transformation. The crew did a great job on paying attention to the details. Brendan McGlinch was very helpful in helping me understandall the products that were installed on my home. He also helped me pick out the colors that looked the best on my home. I would use them again, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality job. My house looks better then I imagined!

I recently had a new roof installed by McGlinch. The Salesman, Brendan, was very receptive to my needs, and explained the roofing process so that i had a great understanding of the scope of the job. They even went into my attic to make sure that my home was insulated properly! They started when they said they would, and the job was completed before I returned home from work. I would definitely use them again, and would refer this firm to all who are looking for a quality job.

Four stars received on workmanship.



HOWEVER, the four stars is brought down due to miscommunication, lack of communication and the failure of the company to manage expectations of its clients.



On the first day of the job, McGlinch's crew misinformed us, which led us to believe that we may be able to save on an added cost that we had anticipated. We sent Mr. McGlinch an email with the facts that his crew provided to us. His response was that he spoke to the crew and all was going well on the job. In the end, the crew did a fantastic job on the roof and it couldn't look better. Four days went by after completion of the job before we heard from Mr. McGlinch. We missed the call and when we returned the call, he said he would call back in 10 minutes. 20 hours later, we received another call indicating he forgot to call. Again, we missed his call, but returned it with no success, again. Finally, the following week, we got a return call where we inquired as to the crew's information they provided us and the final cost of the job. We were told that WE “misunderstood the information the crew provided." We indicated that it was a shame that he (as an owner of the company and the contractor on the job) did not correct their information when we emailed him relaying what his crew stated.



When Mr. McGlinch arrived at our home to collect final payment, we expressed our disappointment in the customer service we did NOT receive and the lack of communication starting with the two month delay (with no notice and no status updates) after we provided a 30% deposit on the job down to the fact that when there was a miscommunication between HIS crew and HIS client, HE should have come arranged to meet us at our home to resolve the error on his crew's part...instead, we heard nothing except for the fact that "the job was going well." He agreed with the lack of communication and customer service and miscommunication, but stated that "no one is perfect" and that he had received other complaints of the same nature this year. We stressed that had he simply kept in touch with us, we still would have been pleased all around. After discussing this for a few minutes he stated "we can beat this like a dead horse....like I said, no one is perfect."



Many thanks to a very hard working crew and shame on McGlinch & Sons for selling us on their customer service and longstanding family values only to beat our disappointment like a dead horse.

McGlinch and Sons Co did a great job installing my skylights. My salesman Brendan was very knowledgable about the different products that were offered...Joe and the crew did a great job getting the skylights installed and finished. I would recommend McGlinch and Sons to anyone looking for a professional skylight installation. Way to go guys!!!

McGlinch and Sons was very easy to work with from start to finish. They put a new roof on my house at a resonable price. No pushy sales people to deal with...very straight shooting about all aspects of the installation. I would recommend using them to anybody looking for a quality roof installation at a resonable cost.

I made three calls to McGlinch for a roof repair and couldn't get anyone out to look at it. My first call I spoke with Brandon and was told how they have satellite imaging that can use to zoom in on the house to give me a estimate.



Needless to say that never happen.....two more calls after that with no returned calls.....I can only assume that they either have to much work or this is their best customer service.....either way, I'll never amke another attempt to use their services and I will tell everyone my story.



In todays economy you would think any company would want any job, big or small to keep their guys working so they can feed their families.....but not McGlinch. (Thumbs Down Rating)
