I highly recommend Burnett to anyone seeking employment. I worked with Shelley, Nicole and Molly to find the position that was just right for me. One of the biggest reasons I recommend Burnett is because they are on your side and take the time to figure out what position would be a good fit for you and only present you with those positions that are complimentary. Many recruiters I have used in the past are all about numbers and they don't care if you fit with the job or not - Burnett is first class at listening to you and finding you YOUR position. I haven't had much luck with recruiters in the past but I contacted Burnett's IT department and they really helped. Burnett has an industry understanding that leads in the recruiting area. Searching for a job that compliments your skills as well has all of the cultural and other qualifications you are looking for in an employer can sometimes be very challenging on your own. With the help of Burnett, I was able to find two different companies that I thoroughly enjoyed working for. Within 2 weeks of working with Penny Murray at Burnett, I was able to find a position that fit my skill set and had the working environment I was searching for. About a year later, when I decided to switch career paths, I reached out to Penny again and with her help, along with Morgan Taylor's, I was able to find a job within 2 weeks that was exactly what I was looking for. Houston is a great place to work but Burnett Specialists really have the expertise, industry connections and a very individualized, custom tailored approach to help you find and get the position you want. They are the sole reason I was able to look outside my previous career path, evaluate my skill set and experience with a fresh set of eyes, really master my interview with insightful guidance and confidence for my new position. Penny Murray and Terry Fisher were outstanding. They listened to me and my needs every step of the way, offering their advice and industry knowledge. I have continually referred anyone I know to them over the last several years. Finding a job is a job in itself. One has to be motivated and active and having the help of Burnett in navigating the waters of today's job market is priceless.

June of 2013, I went to Burnett to apply for temp to perm work. I filled out a lot of paperwork and spoke to Jillian. Every week I would call her and e-mail her to let her know I was still available and to find out if she had found anything for me. IF she responded, it was with her telling me to look for employment on my own, etc. and she still didn't have anything for me. On August 19, she sent me an extensive email stating she was leaving her position with Burnett and gave me the name of Judy Diamond. I in turn, sent an introductory email to Ms. Diamond. As of today, I haven't heard from her. I was told that if I didn't check in on a regular basis that was grounds for them to terminate my contract with Burnett, what about their obligation to me as a client? I am very disappointed with the Burnett Staff. With my qualifications, I should have found employment immediately, even if it was temporary. I know ALL companies claim they don't practice age discrimination, but I can tell you firsthand that is not true. Burnett is a god example of that. I'm curious what kind of automatic response I am going to receive for this review? Hmm

Burnett staffing has the worst insurance every and they dont tell you that once you enroll, you cant get out of it for a whole year!! Do not get there insurance you will be throwing your money away!!

Alcon is the worse place to work at. you get a contract of 1 year and six months to get hired . within that time you'll never get approved and or hired until that whole 18 months is up and even then you still have a very slim chance of getting hired. Plus whats worst is that the place is not really, clean room material, people sweating over the product, sneezing on it, nose drippings on product, and Hygiene is unbeleivable, some people never heard of deodorant I guess. The Clean room environment is a joke, I've worked in other companies that put this place to shame. Hewelett Packard, Micron, Plexuz, Silicon Mountain, Pico electronics and on and on. I quit after being there for only 1 month, after what I saw and heard I was like this is a dead end job with no opportunity for advancement. Now I work in a better place for a better company doing Graphics designing and building concept prototypes projects and better pay. There I was wasting my life and time with Burnnette Staffing and ALCON. I beleive that place, ALCON has already got their asses sued off many times due to eyes being lost, due too poor quality items beng built.

to increase my chance to find a job, i did that and unfortunately

i gut nothing from her I called several times with no answer f , I consider that unrespectful I wast my time for nothing .. thank you for your respect !!!!!!!!!

That the positive reviews about Burnett Staffing were written between 12/9/2009-12/16/2009? I guess the receptionists didn't have much to do around Christmas time.

Burnett Staffing was able to place me in a job in a couple weeks after a 5 -6 month search with no luck. I've worked with several recruting firms, and I would definitely recommend Burnett to anyone. They were efficient, incredibly helpful, and they helped me find a job that turned out to be great fit!!

I initially came to Burnett when I too lost my job and had been unemployed. Since I had worked as an employee of a staffing agency as well as a marketing/sales and PR associate, I had a good handle on who I didn't want to have represent me. I received an email from Meredith Clem at The Woodlands branch in regards to a position that they had available with their client. I had a incredibly professional as well as personable meeting with her as we discussed my background and I walked out with a great sense of ease. I did not land an interview for her client because I was "too over-qualified," but the next day had a call from Sue Burnett (CEO) herself wanting to meet with me regarding a position internally. She was incredible friendly and family oriented that I couldn't help but be curious, even though i told myself I wouldn't work for another staffing agency. Long story short, they offered me an internal position, working close to home with flexibility to work part time and at home since I had a small child. I'm now full time, highly successful and very happy. I have to lend it to the amazing environment in which I work, the beautifully sincere co-workers and the mentorship and nurturing from the top executives. They truly care about who I am, my life and how it balances with my ability to do business. I interview candidates and talk with clients everyday that say they landed their first position with Burnett, or their family member did and its always positive. I find that the only negative feedback is from candidates that we could not represent due to their tenure, personality/attitude, criminal history or technical ablities. I hope to stay at Burnett for as long as possible because I feel like I am home everyday.
