UW Health audiologists in Madison, Wisconsin, take a multi-faceted approach to treatment of hearing, balance and dizziness conditions, collaborating with otolaryngologists (ear, nose and throat doctors). Otolaryngologists take a medical approach to treatment while audiologists specialize in the prevention, identification, assessment and non-medical treatment of hearing disorders. In addition, audiologists are qualified to perform hearing tests, refer patients for medical treatment and provide hearing rehabilitation services. Hearing Aids and Treatments - Bone-Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA) Cochlear Implants Hearing Aids Medical interpreters are available to help patients communicate with hospital and clinic staff.
