SMT Glass & Window

I was referred to Steve Tondre, the owner of S.M.T. Glass & Windows by Clear View Glass & Mirror in Boerne.

Steve was very friendly and told me everything I needed to know about replacing my large Pella window that I had broken by backing my car into it. I had already called Pella, who told me to call Lowe's, which I did. They were able to provide an estimate of $190.00, but the window would not arrive for 30 days. Steve promised me the same window in less than a week for only $30.00 more.

Steve came out to my house in Boerne on Monday to do the measurements and take the sash. He arrived exactly when he said he would, which was a time we had established to MY convenience. I offered to come down to San Antonio to pick up the finished product on Friday, but he insisted on installing it himself.

He texted me Friday that he had received the window and would be out before 5:00pm. He installed the window and it was a perfect match to the upper sash (and the matching window on the other side). While doing the installation, he had to fix up the aluminum rods in the frame, which apparently I had disconnected while removing the sash. It would have taken me ages to figure that out, so I'm very glad he insisted on doing the installation. Not only that, he volunteered to repair the screen which was totally trashed after I hit it. He fixed the screen frame and put in new screen fabric as well! This was really above and beyond and saved me a lot of extra money.

The whole time I interacted with Steve, I found him to be exceptionally personable and knowledgeable about the area (both San Antonio and Boerne). He said he's never worried much about online reviews because most of his business is with larger commercial accounts. But I promised I would do what I could to restore his google rating by leaving a rave review.
