Addison Tree Service

I was referred to Steve and his Addison team by a previously hired tree service, whose schedule was too full to take the job on in March. He contacted me right away and adjusted his schedule to fit me in within days. Not only did they do an excellent job, they did it fast and the price was very reasonable! When I met Steve he was very personable and asked me to please write a review about my experience with his company. Are you in need of very professional tree and outdoor service? Our front yard has 4 large hydrangeas that needed to be dead-wooded and one Oakleaf Hydrangea bush that was overgrown and desperately needed to be trimmed properly.
I checked in the yellow pages for a company to do the work. Within a day of calling, Ryan, the Sales Manager came to assess the situation. He advised me that the Oakleaf hydrangea needed to be trimmed by an arborist that knew exactly what branches needed to be trimmed. The owner, Steve, of ADDISON TREE AND OUTDOOR SERVICES (248-830-1080) is an arborist and Ryan assured me that Steve would personally do the job and do it as if the bush were his own. Steve did exactly that. He trimmed by hand the branches that needed to be removed with delicate care to not harm the other branches. It looks like a new planting, it is so fresh looking and shaped so beautifully. Mike, the crew manager, did the work on the other hydrangeas, carefully trimming the deadwood from our large bushes. They, too, look fresh and ready to produce lovely flowers this season without all the old wood that made them look unkempt. We had an ugly yew growing in our yard that Steve M., the groundsman, cut down for us and hauled it away in the truck. All the deadwood was hauled away and the yard was raked and cleaned up by the 4 man crew that came to work within a few days after we “hired” Addison Tree and Outdoor Services to do the work for us. Their fees are very reasonable and the work done was superior to what was expected. I will have them back to do hedge trimming and other tree trimming work in the near future. I had a very tall and very dead oak tree which was beginning to rot and lean towards my pond. If it fell it would destroy the man made pond. Ryan Swan came out, assessed the situation and gave a fair price for the challenging removal. He quoted me on Tuesday and the team arrived on Thursday. The team was efficient to say the least. With the big upper limbs rotten, it was difficult for them to climb up safely but they achieved a good and safe perch to remove some of the more precarious limbs. After that, they got cleaver using their truck and some major cable to ensure that the remainder of the tree would fall in the correct direction. They succeeded and were done in 2-hours. Great job, great people. Will use them again for sure.

We hired Addison Tree to remove a large oak tree that had broken in the back yard of a rental property that we own. This was a HUGE tree in a tiny Ferndale back yard - surrounded by other homes. High winds took down half of the tree and we needed to have a company quickly and safely remove the other half.

Addison provided an estimate quickly with a very competitive price. They worked with us to quickly get us a copy of the insurance certificate for our job and started the removal the next morning.

We are THRILLED with the job Addison did for us. The tree was probably 2.5-3 times as tall as the 2 story rental house and Addison took it down safely, removed it completely (including all debris from the half they removed as well as the half that DTE had originally cut down and partially removed), and ground the stump down.

Ryan was great with communication and provided customer service that was beyond excellent. We are completely satisfied. Totally recommend.

Outstanding job in removing a large Silver Maple tree from our side yard! Steve and his crew are knowledgeable, capable, courteous, and professional – excellent all-around customer service! The maple was in a very precarious position in our side yard, but they removed it without any collateral damage and they did an excellent clean-up job to boot. I would recommend them without hesitation, and I will definitely use them again when the need arises. Definitely a 5-star outfit!

We needed several large oak trees removed with short notice. The owner came the same day I called and quoted me the fairest price. He arrived a day and a half later. He and his crew worked like machines. Steve has an amazing work ethic, is highly professional and knowledgable. He removed large trees that were leaning towards my home. He even cut my sons birdhouse off carefully to preserve it when the screws wouldn't come out. We highly recommend Steve for any job. He will be the only company we will use in the future. He was very precise with the shrub row trimming, and pruning of all my ornamentals, along with doing an amazing job removing my two large trees overhanging my home. If You ever need Emergency service for a fallen tree after 6:00 pm, these are people to call. They responded within an hour after a tree had fallen on my shed & house . They came back the next day & cleaned up all the limbs & debris. They even fixed a broken vent cover on my roof. Thanks again guys.
