Southwest's Fireside & Patio

After shopping for gas logs at four different fireplace companies, I visited S/W Fireplace in Aurora. I’ve owned wood burning fireplaces for 34 years and was reluctant to switch to gas logs because I felt they looked un-natural. Southwest has a dual-burner set that I felt looks as natural as they come, so I decided to buy it and have them do the install. Two days later, they came to confirm that the log set was the proper size for my fireplace and to be sure that there would be no problems with the installation. Five days later they came to do the install – it looks and works just as I wanted it. It’s hard to tell it’s not real firewood.Southwest Fireplace is a professional operation and I’d recommend them to anyone.

Nothing about my experience with Southwest Fireplace was pleasant or good. They showed up extremely late. Left my yard and home a mess. They installed the wrong chimney cap on my home which resulted in one of my fireplaces being unusable. Their solution was to cut the wrong ember cap which they installed in half and piece it together with wire which does not match the existing wire. I would describe everything about their work as wrong and displeasing to the eye. After countless phone calls and lots of wasted hours they finally agreed to take a very minor amount off of the bill. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their workmanship and quality is poor and their customer service is even worse. I wish I could go back in time and warn my younger self to avoid Southwest Fireplace at all cost.
