Hawksford Larson Dental Care

The office manager Carrie is the rudest unprofessional person in the world. My 21 year old daughter went to them for services and they did not bill her they billed us. They should have changed the guarantor on the bill because she is an adult and just because she is on our insurance does not make us liable. After receiving a phone call from Carrie wanting to know when they were going to get paid I told her to bill it to the right person and she would get paid. She stated that my daughter listed us as the responsible party which is a lie. Any billing professional would have not put us as the liable person for the bill since she is an adult and she is liable for her own bills.The office manager then wanted to know when they would get there money and I told her to bill it correctly and then she would get paid. She then shouted at me and said not to use there services again. Don't use they are unprofessional and don't know how to properly bill for there services.

I usually do not write reviews, but I had the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist with my daughter. I brought my 3 year old in for a simple fluoride treatment (she sees a pediatric dentist that is an hour and a half away). The dental hygienist saw our intake form, knowing my daughter was afraid of the masks and put one on anyway. Then, Hawksford came into the room and proceeded to yell at my daughter to stop crying, took a mirror and said, "This is what you look like when you are crying," and then asked me what was wrong with her and if she's been through trauma. Finally I stepped in as things were escalating and told her she was making it worse. She then stood up, and said, "Ok! Well if I'm making it worse then we are done!" Pushed her chair very firmly and stormed off. I picked up my things and left immediately. No treatment for my daughter. I asked where to file a formal complaint and the front desk person told me to send in a letter. My daughter has been to the dentist several times and is usually upset, but calms down after the treatment. We have never seen anything quite like this. Needless to say, I will NEVER bring my child here again. I will also be making my experiences known to anyone that is seeking dental care in the Hayward area. I DO NOT recommend you or your child to go here.
