Lisa Neely Martinez, CPA is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation. She has been with Lohrey and Associates since 1997. She works primarily with closely held entities and individuals in areas of tax preparation, planning, and compliance. She has experience with a variety of industries including real estate developers, physicians, attorneys, oil and gas exploration/production, small manufacturers and consultants. Lisa is a member of the AICPA, OSCPA, and the Tulsa Chapter OSCPA. She has served as President of the Desk & Derrick Club of Tulsa. She was President and Treasurer of Metro Tulsa Career & Professional Women's Club and is currently serving as President for the Oklahoma Federation of Business Women (OBW).
Income Tax
Joined Lohrey & Associates, PLLC in March of 2009 and has over 25 years experience in Industry and Public Accounting. Her 17 year career with Ernst & Young, LLP was centered primarily on the oil and gas industry, manufacturing, and hospitality. Shelly served as a SALT Mind for the Southwest Area of Ernst & Young where she focused on state and local tax compliance. Her emphasis on SALT provided her the opportunity to travel to the EY Bangalore, India shared services center in 2003. During her two month assignment she established and coached the newly formed SALT team in Bangalore. In private industry she was employed as the Tax Manager for a wholesale distributor who was owned by an international parent. She successfully streamlined processes within the tax department for compliance with payroll, sales tax, property tax, and income tax compliance. Throughout her career, Shelly has successfully represented clients with the IRS and various other taxing agencies. She currently serves clients of Lohrey & Associates in the areas of oil and gas exploration and production, manufacturing, healthcare, real estate, and other service industries. She also has assisted closely held entities and their owners with tax planning and reorganizational transactions. Shelly is the Manager over the accounting department of Lohrey & Associates. She is responsible for client services as it relates to financial statement reporting in either a Compilation or Reviewed format.
