Hoggs Gourmet Grill

This restaurant is situated in the Towngate Shopping Center. Google Directions won't be that helpful in telling you where to turn. So remember to turn left at Frederick St. and then turn left again or turn left at Heritage Way and the right.

The interior of the restaurant is somewhat cramped. I came in during the evening, a couple weeks back, to pick up a to-go order and the place was packed. (So you know it's gotta be good.) The employees there were very friendly.

I ordered the tri tip sandwich, chipotle bar-b-que beef sandwich and the strawberry shortcake.

Both sandwiches were delicious. I didn't care for the bell peppers and onions in my chipotle bar-b-que sandwich, but the meat was tasty and the texture was great. The shortcake was nice as well, but it seemed to have too much salt in the strawberries. I think I had taken too long to pick up my food. The strawberries had started to soak into the bottom of the shortcake and that mixture was weirdly salty.

They have good food but I work as a security guard in the area and have had several buddys that have worked there....the owners are racist as hell watch out

OMG. Excellent BBQ. The best since I left Arkansas. Good service nice atmosphere. Very comfy. I've had pulled pork and the ribs and they are to die for, very tasty. But the best, is to top it off with the homemade peach cobbler. Sit down flavor without the sit down prices.

excellent ribs (full 15 bone rack!) and the only real sausages i've found. Also my brother loves the tri-tip. It's a nice, clean family owned restaurant!
