Midwest Homes, Inc. has been a committed custom builder in the Madison and Dane County, Wisconsin area to customers since 1969. We would like the opportunity to show you our commitment to you the customer as the builder of choice. Our building process is simple, fun, manageable and just right for you and your family. Midwest Homes, Inc. was founded by William F. McKee in 1969 after realizing that there was a need for a quality custom home builder. Bill started his career off by attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After attending the University of Wisconsin, Bill went to work for Oscar Mayer, where he became one of Oscar Mayer building maintenance supervisors and assisted in finding new building locations. He would then manage the construction of these new facilities, which helped in the growth of Oscar Mayer. In 1970, Bill began developing land around the Madison area. You might have heard of some of the areas they have developed that include: Tower Hill, Wildwood, Seminole Ridge, Chapel Valley-Fitchburg, and Gateway-Verona. For many years, Bill ran Midwest Homes Inc. & McKee Associates, Inc. (our commercial construction sister company) In 1993, Brian McKee, took over as Construction Manager. Brian is the second generation of Midwest Homes, Inc. He brings many new and innovative ideas to the building industry. Brian started learning every aspect of the building business at a very early age while working for his father. He started as a laborer and landscaper while in middle school, and worked into being a carpenter the last two years of high school. While attending college, Brian continued to work as a carpenter and he also began running small commercial projects for McKee Associates, Inc. (a sister company). Brian McKee currently serves in the following positions: As the President of Midwest Homes, Inc. and McKee Associates, Inc. (Commercial Division). He is also the builder who meets with you personally, designs your custom home plans and is with you from beginning to the end. Midwest Homes Inc. is proud to belong to the following organizations: MABA wba2016logo 2016nahbrgb Community Involvement At Midwest Homes, we are very active in our community, we have partnered with The Design for A Difference Project, donating our design expertise, materials and fund raising. We built the Dane County Fire Chief’s “Fire Safety House”, and also support the Ronald McDonald House in Madison and DAIS (Domestic Abuse Intervention Services). Our team members are also active with the Dane County Habitat for Humanity, serving on several committees as well as their Board of Directors. We care about issues that affect homeowners so we are consistently working with legislators to make sure regulations don’t add unnecessary cost to the construction of new homes.
