        Angel veterinary hospital is dedicated to providing compassionate and professional care for Santa Barbara's pets and their families. Dr. Engel has been caring for Santa Barbara's pets since 1998, and opened a modern, state-of-the-art full service veterinary hospital in 2011. We specialize in integrated pain management, and are the only hospital in the area with a Class IV Therapy Laser for drug-free pain relief. Second opinions are welcome, and we have a sterile surgical suite, digital dental Xray, and a special program for hospice care. Dr. Engel has special interests in dermatology/allergy management, behavior consults, soft tissue surgery, and management of chronic pain conditions.

        C.A.R.E.4Paws thanks Angel Veterinary Hospital for its amazing support for our organization and for dogs and cats in need in Santa Barbara County. For the past three years, Dr. Cindy Engel has hosted "Spay Days" for C.A.R.E.4Paws, ensuring that our nonprofit can continue to offer free spay-neuter services to low-income pet owners who can't otherwise afford the surgery. Dr. Engel has altered more than 200 dogs through our program so far, which has prevented tons of unwanted litters of puppies, and many, many dogs from ending up in the shelter. Dr. Engel is a terrific vet and spay-neuter surgeon, who has always believed in the cause. Thanks Dr. Engel! (We have tried to post this review on Yelp, but that website seems to remove any positive feedback.)
