Arbor View Montessori School

I would not recommend this Montessori school to anyone. To my understanding the Montessori curriculum is designed to embrace each child's interest and abilities and expand on their skills; that was not the case with my family's experience with arbor view, in fact, it was quite the opposite. The school, primary teacher and administrator/director expected my child to fit their Montessori "mold" right away. In fact, the very first day the teacher switched out my child's sippy cup to a "school-approved" sippy cup, stating that it looked too much like a bottle and would confused the other kids. They made this decision without calling or consulting with me or my husband. As a result, my child did not drink that day adequate fluids that a day. During the time we enrolled in arbor view, we were experiencing changes at home, he had just moved, so to make such a drastic move on our child's first day showed little awareness or sensitivity to this transitioning period. Additionally, the administrator/director expressed interest in learning more about my child's abilities by asking if she could attend a session with one of his therapists. She did not show up for the appointment, nor did she bother to contact me to inform me that the session would not work...this showed me that she had very limited interest in learning more about my child. Throughout our enrollment at arbor view, there were several "red flags" my husband and I became aware of that collectively demonstrated to us our son was not being provided the best care. We received reports that were not consistent with our child's behavior and we questioned whether we were shared accurate information about our child's day at school. Our child was viewed more of a "distraction" to their montessori cirriculum rather than a child just needing time to adapt to the new cirriculum and environment. He is now attending a school that loves and respects him! I advise any parent or guardian to be aware of their gut feelings, no matter how big or small, and address them immediately!

Ginger (my dog) has been seen by this vet from her birth on. They are polite and courteous and will always answer your questions.

The vets take time to care for the animals at the local shelter. I took our dog then to them. They love all animals. He asked my dog what is it that you love most to do in the day.

I have had 3 older rescue dogs that were treated by Dr. Colley. My babies eventually passed away. But during their time with me they were treated by Dr. Colley. I have never met a more competent and compassionate veternary in all my time of have animals, which is nearly all my life. My last little dog lived to be 15 and he developed a tumor behind his eye. He got so sick we decided it was best to let him go. Dr. Colley sat there and cried with me. How she does it I don't know. I know I couldn't. But for a person to feel like that I know my animals are in excellent care. I can't even watch Animal Planet without crying. Unfortunately I am moving out of the area, over an hour away, but I'm still considering driving the distance just for my new rescue dog to be treated by Dr. Colley. I have complete trust in her. I did an extensive search for my 3 year old daughter for preschool in the Roseville area. Arbor View Montessori is a beautiful school, classroom, location. The teachers were perfect with her. She's already started to learn so much. The grounds are safe, perfect area. It's like leaving your child with family. The staff is very loving. I don't worry about her at all during the day.
