Fantastic place to eat! Staff is way beyond fantastic. When we have been here we had questions about how they prepare the food and where they got certain items, if waiter didn't know they went and asked the chef!! Great place to relax also!!!!!

Overall

On August 5, I went to the Botticelli Restaurant with my husband for a small lunch. While we were waiting to be seated, I was able to look around the establishment. From my spot in the entry way I was able to see that the interior décor was very tasteful and had a nice Italian feel to it. Once seated, we were able to look over the menu and decide what we wanted for our meal. The menu itself was in excellent condition making it easy for us to read the items on it. The menu items were very easy to decipher from. After we ordered our meal which consisted of the Goat Cheese Pizza for my husband and the Botticelli salad for me, I was able to observe how the staff connected to the rest of customers. For the most part I was very pleased with what I had seen, except for when it came to our own waitress. She did bring us our meals in a timely fashion, and for the most part was fairly knowledgeable about the menu and specials. However, she did not check on us as often as she should have, at one point we were waiting for about five to ten minutes for a refill on our water. Also at one point during our meal, we had asked what an ingredient that was in my salad was, while she did not know what it was, she did offer to ask the chief about it. That would’ve been great except for she picked the piece off of the plate with her hand before asking if she could. I will give her some credit for not putting it back on the plate however; she shouldn’t have picked it up to begin with. The meal itself was very filling. The Botticelli Salad included: roasted chicken, mushrooms, Prosciutto, and marinated vegetables; all of which was severed with a light Basil Vinaigrette. Every ingredient that went into this dish was mixed together perfectly, with all the flavors complementing each other making the overall taste a very enjoyable experience. With a mixture of goat cheese, pesto sauce, artichoke hearts, pine nuts, and tomato chunks; our taste buds went on a unique adventure with the Goat Cheese Pizza. For one who has never been a huge fan pesto nor ever tried goat cheese before, I must say, that we were very surprised at how well all these flavors blended together to make such a delicious meals. After our main entrées, my husband and I decided to split a severing of Spumoni which is a type of Italian ice cream containing three different ice cream flavors – Chocolate, Pistachio, and Cherry. Upon hearing that Pistachio ice cream was involved I was a little hesitant to try it, but in the end I was very glad I did for it was truly one of the best deserts I have ever tried. When it came time to pay for our order, our waitress did make it very easy to do. She took the coupon we had for the free desert without confusion, and brought us our bill right away. When looking at the bill we both agreed that the pricing did in fact measure up to the quality and the amount of food we got. Over all I will say that Botticelli Restaurant is an excellent place to go for lunch or dinner with that special someone.

Not the best, but okay

Even though this is the only true italian restuarant in town, the service was good, the food was mediocre (both entrees) and the prices where high for what you got. I will spend my money elsewhere for better food at this price.

The only Italian food in town!

This is the only food in rapid city that can claim Italian heritage, anything that you get at this resturante' will be amazing and they have an amazing wine list for those who are wine inclined.

Overall
great!!!

i used to go to olive garden before i discovered this place. Im usually weary about local restaurants but its just a pet peeve of mine i just dont trust places but they far exceeded my expecations. The service was awesome, we brought our baby in who was sleeping and the host let us sit in the back since the front was a little loud and didnt want the baby to wake up which worked out great for us. The server was great!!! the food came out fairly quickly and tasted amazing. It tastes as authentic as you can get for italian which i would know since i am full blooded italian and my grandpa even came out to this placed and was very impressed. All around great restaurant!!!!!!!!

Very good. Would visit again

Excellent food and wine choices. Nice atmosphere. Prices do lose Botticelle a star, though. In spite of price, I will eat there again!
