Was looking for a closer Vet so we took our dog to them since they received good reviews on Angie' List. She was diagnosed with Congestive heart failure. Consequently, we had to have her see a Cardiologist. First and foremost, she doesn't have congestive heart failure, she has valve disease. Eventually it may be congestive heart but it isn't right now. Secondly, lab results over a several month period were not forwarded to the Cardiologist, once for a week and once for 2 weeks. (until I had to call to have them faxed) These results were to determine if her meds had to be altered. The final straw...Our dog jumped off the bed and hurt her neck. She was in excruciating pain, could not walk, eat or drink! After taking her in to see Dr Tima 12/01/2016, it was determined that she pinched a nerve. Instead of giving her pain meds, she was prescribed 2 herbal meds; they told my wife that she COULD NOT have conventional medication due to her heart condition. This, she was told was due to the conversation Dr Tima had with the Cardiologist (that day). Fast forward a week and ZERO relief for our dog. She was yelping constantly due to the pain. We finally called the Cardiologist's office to inquire as to way she couldn't have pain meds. They said no one EVER called them from Happy Vet regarding our dog and that she most certainly could take NSAIDs and a muscle relaxer to help her! That day was the LAST time our dog would be seen by Happy Pet. How could the owner, Dr. Dean quote that they take a vow to "do no harm", and blatantly lie about her allowable treatment options, and worse yet, let a poor animal suffer? Our new vet's office prescribed her an NSAID and muscle relaxer and with-in 2 days, she was a different dog! She is not 100% yet, but she isn't suffering. This is our first of many review/complaints that will be filed. We will be letting everyone know of our situation so that NO animal will ever have to suffer from the treatment or lack there of at Happy Pet Vet!
