The Children's Garden

My son was transfered from one children's garden to another because of issues we were having between a bully and the director and because of the bully, my son was put on a behavior program that should have been transfered with him. At the second daycare, my son's sheets and blankets continuously became "lost". The "teachers" were constantly coming and going. It seemed like there was new staff every week. They also replaced the director. I was told by some of the teachers that because there wasn't consistancy, the kids would become uncontrollable. Some of the kids, including mine, we're fighting. My son has had many "behavior reports". They said he hurt other kids and that he did it for no reason and out of nowhere, but at home he always has a reason to be upset. It seems like no one knows what to tell me when I ask what happened.

The daycare called me in for a meeting, then rescheduled the meeting on my way to the meeting, then told me he was no longer able to come back and that it was all my son's fault that the teachers were "quitting".

Soon after the meeting, I found out the real reason teachers were in and out was because they are all college students interning.



I'm infuriated.

My child attends one of the centers and I am very pleased with the care that the staff provides my child with. However, I am very dissatisfied with the owners of The Children's Garden. Less that a week before December 26th I was informed that this day would become a holiday and the center would be closed. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day is understandably so, but to have to pay $112.48 for 2 days is not fair. I had to pay someone to care for my child the day after Christmas then turn around and pay the daycare (one weeks tuition) to watch my child for 2 days. This all comes after a letter was sent out asking me to mark which days child care was needed during the holiday season, and December 26 was listed as a day that the daycare was to be open and I had marked that day as needed...this is an insinuation to me that the daycare was going to be open on that particular day. I am not without reason, I did not expect full reimbursement, I am aware that the price quoted to me for child care does take hoildays into consideration, I only asked for the pro-ration of 1 day (December 26th ) to be given to me, however; the owen, Lupe, refused!
