I took my taxes in two tax seasons ago to them; i had done my own tax returns this year due to time constraints. I had recently discovered from my coworkers that part of my income at that time was exempt from state taxes, and that this firm had missed this deduction. When i contacted their office and explained the situation, the gentleman that had prepared them went on for a few minutes about "how am i supposed to know this?".



Isn't that what we pay accountants for? Aren't they supposed to be on top of all of the deductions available to their customers? Needless to say, they never called me back to let me know when they had finished amending my return. Now i will have to pay another accountant to correct the mistake that they inadvertantly made.
