Pet Styling Salon & Boarding

I looked in YellowPages.com to find a place to take my dog for the week of christmas. I called 6 places who all told me they were booked. The 7th place I called was Pet Salon. They were able to take my Mini Schnauzer, Roxy. I told them I was leaving Saturday morning (December 20, and would be back December 28. So I would pick Roxy up the morning of the 29th.) I asked what time they opened so I would know whether I should drop her off early Saturday or Friday night. We settled on Friday. They said it is ten dollars a day. I asked if it would be ten dollars for friday, and monday being they wouldn't be full days. She said yes and that if I was writing a check it needed to be paid up front. I wrote a check for 110 dollars. I was also told to bring my own food, and kennel. I agreed to that. My plans changed, and I needed to leave Friday night. I asked if I could drop Roxy off Friday afternoon. She said yes. We discussed again when I would drop her off and pick her up. When I took her in, I said that Roxy is not house trained, and is not used to this kennel, we have a much larger one she sleeps in at night, it just wasn't feasible to bring it. I also told them that sometimes she does good with other dogs and sometimes she doesn't, she isn't around them very much. The lady asked me if I wanted Roxy trimmed while I was gone. I told her no, I didn't want her to get cold. She is an outside dog. She suggested that I let her trim Roxy's paws, face, and belly because it would get matted. I agreed. She told me that she would be taking Roxy home, so that she wouldn't be alone and she had a fenced yard for her to run in. I said that was fine. I gave her the 110 dollar check and gave her my phone number. They didn't call me once. (The check cleared on December 23.) I called Pet Salon the morning of the 29th, around 11:30 to say I was coming. She told me she thought I was coming Tuesday, and I couldn't pick her up until 2 o'clock. (I'm not sure if Roxy wasn't there or if there wasn't anybody there to let me in. I think I called a cell phone.) My check was for 110 dollars, if they did the math they would know I was picking her up Monday. I asked if there was a way I could get her sooner, I was in town and didn't want to come back. She told me no. I said o.k. and hung up. I rethought the situation and called her back at 11:43. I asked if there was somewhere else I could go to get her. I live in Shelley and was already here, I had my 2 boys and it would be inconvenient to drive back. She raised her voice and told me I could have called sooner but I chose to call right then and I am the one causing the inconvenience. I said I was not trying to chew her out. She cut me off and yelled more. (I'm not sure what all she said.) I said that I was paying her. She said I was paying her to watch my dog, not to run her a** around all day. At one point she referred to my dog as "that f****** dog". She ended by saying "you can pick her up at 2. Do you understand that ma'am!" and hung up the phone. I was not rude in any way. I cannot think of what I did to cause her to treat me this way. My dad agreed to go pick Roxy up at 2 for me. When he went to get her, she was being trimmed! We discussed very clearly that I was not to pick her up until 2. When my dad got there at 2, she was being trimmed! My dad brought her to my house, she had a partially trimmed behind with hair hanging off. My dad was told they had to trim her behind because she was constipated from the fur covering her bum. That is NOT true! I trimmed the fur off her bottom when she was a puppy because she couldn't poop. I have kept a close eye on it since. I clean up her poop every day. If she was constipated, why would they wait 10 days before fixing it? I do not know names of people I talked to. Mary is the owner. Pet Salon was the only place not booked for a reason. I wish I looked for reviews, and asked around. This is how I was treated, I can't help but wonder how my dog was treated.
