I brought a dog in for a rescue group and I got there 20 minutes late which was unavoidable, and which I take complete responsibility for. The dog I brought in was very, very sick. He actually made people stop in thier tracks and stare. The receptionist said No we can't take you now and you will have to go to an emergency vet. I told her that the dog is being paid for by someone with an account there. I didn't have the money nor could I afford to take the dog to an emergency vet. This dog was clearly in EXTREMELY bad shape just standing there. This girl was very aggravated and short with me - she even told me that "we have families too and kids and we want to go home to". She was telling me this while I was standing there with a dog that was clearly several days away from DEATH. There were even 2 other clients in the waiting area and she was treating me like this in front of them! When I told those clients what happened with this particular dog both of those ladies had tears in their eyes. They couldn't believe how bad the dog was. This girl kept acting like I was RUINING HER DAY and continued to be rude and I continued to apologize all over the place for it. I knew this dog needed help and my being rude back was not going to get him any help. All I cared about was the dogs health. Finally another technician (AN ANGEL) stepped in for this particular girl and treated me so much better,I was so relieved. I talked the doctor briefly and he tried to smooth over things by saying that the day had been a stressful day due to the absence of another staff member, and the staff were all a little stressed out. Again I was so grateful to get help for this dog that I apologized all over the place with him too. The dog ended staying there anyway so I was out the door very quickly. It has been several weeks since this happened. I wanted to wait until I was calm and had thought through the situation in a non-emotional manner. Well here it is: This girl displayed absolutely NO COMPASSION for animals or for person concerned about the pet. If this were my clinic I would get rid of her in a millisecond with no regrets what so ever. This receptionist is the "face" of Plaza Vet Hospital, she represents the hospital when someone walks in the door. She is doing a very poor job of it. The rest of the girls there were very verty nice and concerned to me but more importantly to the dog. This girl represents Plaza and all those hard working dedicated people there and it is NOT FAIR to the rest of them. I don't want anyone to think that I got bad service from the others nor do I want anyone to think that the vet had anything to do with it. The rest of them all did an excellent job. I want to thank the rest of them for their compassion. The receptionist gets 0 stars but the rest of the clinic gets 5 stars.

Love the doctors and staff. Have had several cats with symptons that did not fit the normal illnesses. The vets really listened to what I had to say and offered different treatment options, giving the pros & cons of each. Together we decided what to do next. Through tests and treatments, I am happy to report the issues are resolved.

Plaza is great!

The staff and Veterinarians are wonderful at Paza Veterinary Hospital. they are all extremely caring, love animals and the service is fabulous. Our standard poodle gets all the attention he wants and needs when he is there. Bill B. Farmington Hills, MI
